Dylan Marron's Every Single Word series highlights the lack of diversity in the movie industry. The power of of the movie industry to lift up or let down persons of color is flawlessly demonstrated in his video for Into the Woods which was 7 seconds long, because there was not a word of dialogue by a person of color. A global platform would open his powerful series up, and begin to show this atrocity for what it is. Discrimination. Whenever I watch Thor 2 I always get urked by one scene where he’s at Charring Cross and the lady tells him North Greenwich is 2 stops away - It’s not. It’s two stops on the Northern Line then he has to change at Waterloo station (which is huge) and then take the Jubilee. 

So every time I watch the movie I just imagine Thor wondering around waterloo station lost trying to look for the Jubilee line

Meredith Woolnough’s Embroideries Mimic Delicate Forms of Nature

Woolnough uses a special embroidery technique that involves a domestic sewing machine and a base cloth that dissolves in water after the piece is complete leaving just the skeleton. In a way, her process also mimics the natural process of leaves dying and drying up which, in turn, become the subject of her work.
