“Pictured here are some activities and souvenirs from our Summer Reading library tour! Hopefully, part 1 of 3 or 4. We visited several libraries in our district today and had a SPECTACULAR time.”

1. Jeanette received a new bookmark for her collection.

2. Alvin dabbled in the ancient writing system called Cuneiform.

3. I won a dino egg for correctly identifying 6 dinosaur silhouettes. I can’t wait to hatch the little guy.

4. Alvin and I teamed up to match the hominid skulls correctly on the first try. Dave was flabbergasted.

5. Jeanette added a little fun fact about cats to the timeline.

6. Theodore drew a wonderful cave art piece using 6 different colored crayons. Anachronistic, but adorable.

“I went to a new program held at the parks and rec center. It’s called Craft and Chat. I think it might replace Diamond Dots as my place to meet like minded individuals to chat with.”

“I made these friendship bracelets there today. The next time, I might take my Diamond Dot supplies and work on one of the geodes. I love that you can bring your own crafts to do!”

“I met a really nice person there who lives in a house that looks like a castle. She just moved to town. I feel like we’re going to become closer, I just know it!”

“This has made me feel so much more hopeful about my future!”

“Haven’t posted my bracelets in a while, but I would like you to know that I haven’t slowed down! I’m still adding to the collection!”

“Alvin made the bowtie one. Theo made the neon ice cream one. The rest were me, but I made the diamond one for Brittany.”

“I just got the sweetest little axolotl plush to cheer me up from my not growing pains (a floating timeline thing.)”

“Palm pals are so soft! He’s going to look great next to the rainbow I got on my trip to visit a different universe.”

“Why oh why did it have to be fireworks?”

“I know it’s the 4th of July but I really don’t see anything worth celebrating this year. America is kind of an embarrassment.”

Friendly reminder that taking care also involves feeding your soul with things that make you happy and fulfilled! 🌸 It’s not always easy, but whenever we can, we should look to making ourselves a life where we can do more than just survive.
