Vic never thought heâd be itching to head back out into the land of walkers but after being confined to the compound for so long, he was on edge and ready to punch something. The somewhat working gym was a godsend in these times of absolute boredom. Heâd tried to be helpful around the compound already; cleaning up the areas everyone used, patching up leaky roofs, fortifying walls with whatever they could find. But there was only so much they could do with the limited resources they had. They needed to go on another supply run and soon, their stocks made that obvious. Vic was getting ready to head over to the gym for the day, pulling on a shirt before he heard Jefferson come in. âHello to you too, sunshine.â He laughed and moved to follow him, âWhere are we going?â
âMorning,â Jefferson amended quickly, pecking Victor on the lips with a fast kiss before grabbing his hand. âI found a place. For us, maybe.â He smiled and pulled Victor along until they reached the blockage that had been keeping people out for awhile. âThrough here.â He reluctantly let go of Victorâs hand and turned, sliding through the fallen pieces of wall and locker, emerging on the other side. He stood just outside the classroom door, grinning as he waited for Victor to join him. âDo you need some help?â he asked with a laugh, ready to move the entire wall if he had to.
