Thought this was so sweet I just had to share.
It's wild blueberry season in Sweden and I've been picking and eating my fill everyday from the forest behind my house! The entire forest floor is covered in wild blueberry bushes and the tangy taste is so cosmic, I had to paint them✨ Photos of the berries I picked!
Painting process~

The Penumbral nightmare, or previously known as the Grinning spectre. A fierce beast that lurks amongst the darkness like a phantom and preys on those who fall for its striking, light blue and teal patterns. It hosts bioluminescent bacteria on special patches of its skin, teeth, and even bones. This monstrous creature can pop its jaw open for intimidation displays, and its lack of firepower is made up for the use of a very corrosive, foul smelling gel that is ejected from its throat. This dragon hunts small cetaceans, large fish and Hunterfolk. Smaller dragons too will succumb to its jaws. timelapse
Felt like making a shiny version of the Tide Pod xenomorph.
just received the best text message I’ve ever had. from my mom

It would kill half the 19-25 year olds online to realize "I can't help it I have trauma" is one of THE quintessential abuser excuses
Like there is a difference between "My trauma creates impulsive urges and has changed my instinctive reactions to be irrational, I need to relearn shit." vs "I'm traumatized so I Can't Help It and you're not allowed to expect better of me"
This, but with every other disorder too.
Allergic to accountability.
Every gate just took us back to the beginning.
Last year, I befriended a Catholic seminarian. We've gotten to be pretty decent friends. Seeing as he was staying in town for the summer and I wasn't, I entrusted him with caring for my plant.
He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"
"What?"
He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"
"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."
Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.
Listen, totally cool. My plant becoming Catholic is a great deal for her not dying over the summer. But now I must navigate this interfaith household. Keep me in your thoughts.
The whole "mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell" level of obsession with "correlation does not imply causation" has done incalculable harm to our collective ability to evaluate evidence.
We kinda went from "hey guys make sure you think more than surface deep when presented with numerical evidence" to "no two numbers ever have anything to do with each other ever"

Honestly, in Marvel New York why would you even advertise that information? Amazing Spiderman 2
Superhero settings have developed a form of promotion called caping.
The company looks up what supervillains are currently active, and tailors their campaign around them. A firm in Gotham might place an ad about their new store opening and show off a conspicuous silver bird statue.
The Penguin sees the ad, and takes the bait. Suddenly, your store is the victim of a heinous ornithological heist, and you're front page news. Attention and pity business starts flowing in.
You've made back triple profits on your $2,000 silver puffin loss. By the end of the week, Robin drops in with the statue. There's another photo op, and an endorsement from the local heroes.
These super people are suckers
Alternatively, it's just a form of insurance fraud. Gonna take a bath on your new casino? Just brand it around the Joker, wait for him to bomb it, and then collect the insurance payout.
Yeah, the ol' Joker's Wild ploy.
I wonder what it's like being an insurance agent.
"Hey, so we're considering opening up a clown college in Goth-"
"FUCK YOU, $10 BILLION MONTHLY PREMIUM."
Hey. If people aren't aware, Microsoft admitted they know who you and where you are at all times and will give your info to the police.
They have a Global Device Identifier (GDID) Tracker that functions as a fingerprint for your PC that can surpass VPNs, proxy servers and countries. Although it can't survive a clean reinstall of Windows (it can survive updates), because Microsoft forces you to go to the internet and log in into a Microsoft account, they will be able to get to you.
Microsoft kept it secret and it was only found out when the FBI tracked a hacker thanks to the information Microsoft gave them.
You should be paying attention to this, and possibly consider moving away from Windows. If a government, especially the US government, doesn't like you for some reason, this could be seriously concerning.
This article specifically notes:
For journalism, activism, or domestic abuse situations, skip Windows and use Linux routed through Tor instead of a commercial VPN. A GDID doesn’t care which VPN you use, only that it’s still the same Windows installation.
GDID is the persistent Windows ID that helped FBI trace a Scattered Spider hacker despite VPNs. Here's how it works and how to limit it.
Other important quotes:
What has researchers uneasy is everything else the case reveals. Costin Raiu, a well-known malware researcher, asked on the Three Buddy Problem podcast how much of this exists on other platforms, and whether it is linked more permanently to hardware. Matthew Hickey, another security researcher, called Windows “surveillance software”.
Two things back that up:
There’s no consent screen. A GDID gets assigned when you sign into a Microsoft Account. Apple’s advertising identifier needs an App Tracking Transparency prompt and a visible reset; Android’s works the same way. GDID has neither, and a Windows reinstall only gets you a new number Microsoft can still get back to the same account.
Then there’s activation. Massgrave, the group behind Microsoft Activation Scripts, notes that Windows setup sends hardware info to Microsoft and gets identifiers back, the same tokens later used for Store access and licensing: “It’s impossible to prevent Windows from getting a GDID without breaking activation and UWP app[s].” Anyone who lost a license after swapping a motherboard has already met a smaller version of this.
i think too many people reach for the word unforgivable when what they actually mean is inexcusable
