Perfect Little Flaws by Jennifer Ann Shore

Still dealing with the death of her older brother Jake, high school senior Maren Montgomery is upset to hear that soccer star Vince Novak is moving to her school. While she wants nothing to do with him, he becomes interested in her.

This book was exactly what I needed right now. It involved photography (one of my former hobbies) and soccer (my favorite sport). It had a fun cast of characters and a good plot. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to reading more by Jennifer Ann Shore.

Everywhere, Always by Jennifer Ann Shore

I received a free copy of this book from BookSirens in exchange for an honest review. I'm honestly sad that I finished this book, it was that good.

After Avery's mother dies in a car accident, she is sent to live with the father she never knew, his wife, and their son. While she plans to go back to her home in Pennsylvania when she turns 18, she begins to connect with her new family, and starts having feelings for one of her brother's best friends.

This book was honestly the definition of a comfort read. I loved the characters, and I loved the relationship Avery had with her mom, as well as her new family. I loved her friendship with the Navarros, as well as Brooke and Sophia.

Shore easily could've made any of the characters not like Avery for some reason or another, but she didn't, and I loved that.

It's a witty and fun young adult romance that best fits in the "opposites attract" and "rivals to lovers" tropes. But there are references to some of art pieces I love, my track and field days, and one of my all-time favorite novels.
