Think Pink
we’ll pretend Kyle is praying for us all... with that sassy can of Pabst blue ribbon beer and that lovely glass of Maker’s Mark.
this letter. we’ve all been there. “I would do anything to see you happy... so I do the only thing i can... I release you.”
Candy by The Magnetic Fields covered by Kyle Craft in Atlanta, GA (Apologies for the shitty video quality. The sound is magnificent though)
If you’ve never sat on your kitchen floor at 6am drinking whiskey & singing forlornly along to this (changing the name to whomever and altering a few words to fit) then you’re probably not me and you should be glad.
Striving so to forget the world, my fears, and more than all, myself // Mary Shelley.
The devil has my address and he knows where I live. He sends me money and fancy postcards and the poems he leaves are so charming. They say: You… are in big trouble.

The day my daughter was born & I'm not weeping (I'm lying... I'm crying)
“Just feeling is a subversive act. Expressing it is rebellious.”
Jeff Buckley
“When Jeff loved people, he loved them unconditionally. Whether others thought that someone was a big freak or the best person in the world, it didn’t make any difference to him. He loved people for what they were, unconditionally. However, he wasn’t the kind of person that someone could pursue any sort of friendship with; it usually had to be on his terms. He said that he was like a cat. ‘When I come around - it’s going to be often, but it’s going to be when I want.’ That was fine by me. I always made time for him. He was very catlike, and everything about him was very feline.

The Stars of You
my sweet lover, my precious face. shatter me with your a b s e n c e , i am so easily broken – and have become so frail over time by being so gradually chipped away at by other absences. your dark hair swallows me up like an abyss, and your embrace leaves indents against my flesh – as your breath once had done; seeping into my soul through every iota of me you graced with gentle cries. smile at me with your wolf-teeth, but be ever so gentle – for i bear claws too; i have left traces of me upon your back: traces which will fade from your pallid skin in time, but never fail to penetrate your soul in memory. your wide eyes, stretched so queerly against your narrow face will burn still against my dreamsas you take your leave of me, & huddle back into the night –leaving me still with the stars of you in my belly. type your name into ink so often that i get used to the sound, so that i may recognize it from a mile away –so clear, so you. my sweet lover, my precious face. stay with me, if only for the night.
What doesn’t kill you makes you listen to Jeff Buckley.
Patrick Watson - Drifters
this song is beautiful.
we are drifting away, further every day. soon we’ll have nothing to say. we’ll be too far away.
This is the song that I'm letting devastate me on a pretty consistent level over the last few days.
what are your favourite jeff buckley interviews?
All of them. It sounds dumb & cliché, probably, but this question has been in my box a long time, I’ve thought about it quite a bit & this answer is the most honest/the only one I can offer. I’ve not seen / read a SINGLE ONE where he didn’t have something vital & insightful to say (like he’s giving answers that we NEED to questions we didn’t know we had & I don’t care how creepy that sounds, it’s how I feel) which makes it impossible to choose any one or two or twelve as favorites (or favourites :) … I like your spelling) over any others. He was wise beyond his years… a messenger & too good for this world.
Can an angel be found?
This is a question found in The Second Sex (Introduction) & the answer is yes. Exhibit A

I’m sure there’s a special place in hell for people like me.
“It’s so stimulating being your hat.”
even this guy is telling me to shut the fuck up and go home & hide in a hole for a while.
