2015 // OCT 17 Hey guys, IM ENGAGED! Our family, including our two doggies, ventured out to Joshua Tree for the weekend. Our air bnb was AMAZING and they even gave us a bottle of wine from their family vineyard. That morning we went on a family hike to skull rock. Post trail, we ate some lunch then the girls went off to get massages and facials. When we got back, the whole thing unfolded. Willy had a huge timeline of our lives together and tons of photos framed. The frames were lined with red roses with dates like our first kiss, when he first told me he loved me, when we moved in, when we welcomed snow to the fam, and so forth. The final frame had the date as well as a hear shaped dog tag with "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" I walked into the house and "Marry Me" by Train was playing. I hate that song so much primarily because it is overused. Sooo Willy played it as an inside joke and it perfectly summed up our relationship. I obviously said yes because he's the only guy who gets my level of pizza cravings. XX jenny

2015 // OCT 6 I realize it's been many many months since Ive posted. I figured why not throw a little NYC on the blog. I hadnt been to NYC in a long (and I mean long) time. For years I kept hearing people tell me how much they could see me living there. I can honestly tell anyone future commentators that they are so wrong. NYC is absolutely amazing and breathtaking but I dont see myself living there. For one, the weather is not LA. And let's talk about the gnarly traffic and fearlessly suicidal pedestrians. Or the fact that I paid $5 for a bag of Doritos. Or the fact that I had to sacrifice XXTRA HOT CHEETOS for 5 days. No thank you kind sir. I would never trade my cheetos for some bagels. No can do. But again, the city is mesmerizing and Id be ever so honored to visit many times but I love LA too damn much to leave. Ps, I was in New York for Generation Beauty by ipsy! The first ever NYC event and it was a whirlwind blast. Can't wait to share the Stylist Swag bags! If you aren't an ipsyOS member, you should be. Cuz you get SO. MUCH. SWAG. Promise. XX jenny

2015 | JULY 18 This past week has been crazy! We adopted a dog for my parents, a beautiful shepherd/husky mix named Sam. She and Snow love each other so much its unbelievable! Some pretty amazing foodie adventures too! Had seoul sausage for the second time and it was better than I remembered. Tried DK donuts for the first time at BF Jewelry's party downtown. Also, tried Faith & Flower for DineLA and man were those deviled eggs to die for! Ps, thats only 1/3 of my shoe closet. I never count how many I have. I prefer to live in denial. Happy weekending!

2015 || JUL 9 I have a love hate relationship with Free People primarily because it makes me question my wannabe edgy style aesthetic. I always leave the store wanting to be a fairy goddess princess drowned in Free People duds. I love that this dress actually fits my height with a minimal heel and goes well with stacks of neck jewels. Can we also talk about how sad Snow looked this morning when I left for work? 2015 || JUL 7 Same same but different. Ive accepted that although I like to experiment with lipstick, at the end of the day, my lipstick game is pretty basic. Just picked up two new shades from MAC Cosmetics. Doubt they're actually new, but new to my collection anyways. The shades are VELVET TEDDY MATTE & PERSISTENCE MATTE from top to bottom. I originally went into the store to pick up a STONE LIP PENCIL. I was about to order it online and realized I was less than half a mile walking distance from the closest MAC store. Im so thankful I decided to walk in to try it on because MAN, that is NOT my shade. I guess I have warm undertones (whatever that means) so that shade was really unpleasant on my yellow ass skin. I ended up going with these two because they look much better on my skin. The VELVET TEDDY is a pinkish nude and the PERSISTENCE is a darker mauvey nude. Not even ashamed that I am trying to find colors that emulate Kylie Jenner's lip color - not to be confused with her lips period. Just the color. I love MAC lipsticks even though they don't necessarily have the BEST staying power. I just love the different formulas and finishes. MATTE specifically stays on the best. 2015 || JULY 5 I love all weekends but 3 day weekends really soothe my soul. We celebrated the USA by stuffing our faces with food, exercising it off, and a fireworks spectacular. We kicked off the weekend with sashimi at Sushi Gen and our very own ice cream tour. Amongst the shops we tried, Carmela's in Pasadena really hit the spot. I got a combination of spiced strawberry sorbet & strawberry basil ice cream. The juxtaposition in a waffle cone was everything I needed in the hot weather. Finished it off with a nighttime tennis rally and korean bbq. We spent our morning sweating at Runyon Canyon with our baby Snow. She was gung-ho for all of 25 minutes and then started hiding in the shade. I took my parents to Blaze for the first time and my very Asian father really enjoyed packing his pizza like we were going into hibernation shortly thereafter. His happy face made it all the more worth it. Every year, my family goes to the Warner Center in Woodland Hills for a beautiful fireworks spectacular. So thankful to live in a country where I am innocent until proven guilty. Also - where I can get tangerine chicken until 2AM in the night. Sunday's not over and Im sure it will be just as jam packed with exciting festivities. xx JENNY

2015 || JUN 22 Happy Monday! I hope everyone got to be with their families for Father's day! I kicked off the weekend by going to The Next Door Lounge in Hollywood to celebrate a friend's bday. Several flights of whiskey and an amazing medium rare burger and we were sold. Ive been on a healthy life kick lately so we did some indoor rock climbing at Rockreation and the hiked the Gabrielino Trail in Pasadena for Father's Day. Another major event this weekend was that I had Sugarfish for the first time. Im deeply devoted to sushi in its truest form so it was only right to treat my palette to the infamous "Trust Me" combo. The order consists of a toro hand roll, salmon nigiri, tune poke among other items. If youre in the LA area, treat yourself to a trip to the Teuscher Shop & Cafe in Beverly Hills. Not only are their chocolates all imported from Switzerland, but their signature champagne truffles use Dom Perignon. Hows that for decadent? xx Jenny

2015 || JUN 17 This past weekend, one of my soul sisters graduated from UCSD! We day tripped to San Diego to celebrate Lauren's big day! Late night poster making while munching on animal style fries, 3AM wake up calls, lunch on the shore, & shopping our hearts out at Fashion Island pretty much sum of everything before and after graduation. I want to take a minute to thank Rent the Runway for sending me this fab Rachel Zoe number! 2015 || MAY 5 Yesterday I met up with two gorgeous ladies I met through Instagram and my oh my was it a pleasure! Food, girl talk, and more food. What else is there you need in life? We dined at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood. It is a fully plant based restaurant and most of the ingredients come from the owner's farm in Northern California. I absolutely loved the ambience - the kind of outdoor with ample lighting wedding worthy venue. But the food really stole the show. I highly recommend El Plato which is basically a deconstructed burrito served with a side of tortillas. I am seriously having withdrawals and it's been less than 24 hours. Hope everyone has a beautiful Cinco de Mayo. xx Jenny

2015 || APR 25 Took a trip to Rowland Heights to visit my boyfriend's mom. We had to stop by Capital Seafood for some dim sum naturally. Their wait is insane so we veered off to stop by Duke Bakery to sample some yummy bread and of course stocked up for the impending end of the world. Apparently this bakery comes all the way from Singapore and I hope they don't leave. Amongst my favorites are the garlicky creations and the chocolate coffee bread. Yummo! It was a beautiful day so I wore a loose romper from Zara with a black cropped top from Urban Outfitters. Paired it with my easy peasy taupe Jeffrey Campbell sandals and we are good to go! 2015 || APR 7 Been feeling a bit under the weather and this LA sunny drizzle is giving my body a confused shock.

You will soon find that I have a serious Groupon addiction and the tragedy of it all is I tend to let them expire. I happened to have the day off and decided to kill two birds with one stone. Massage then pick up some food to go. As it turns out, I had to use all $20 dine in only.

I plopped myself down already knowing that I was going to get a giant bowl of the cream of carrot soup. I had been to La Cabañita once before and it was the star of my visit. I ended up ordering the lunch special chicken enchiladas mole that comes with rice & beans as well as a drink of your choice. My choice was clearly horchata. I also ordered a carnitas taco to really get my moneys worth only to realize I was still under $20. My asian cheapness will get over it.

Like most Mexican restaurants, they provide chips and salsa to munch on. My carrot soup came out first and my oh MY did it hit the spot. Super flavorful and creamy and was topped with crumbled queso fresco. Golly. I could eat this all day.

Next up were my enchiladas and taco. The taco was good but the enchiladas were fantastic. The mole sauce is out of this world. Super nutty and the perfect consistency. It smothered the enchiladas that were also topped with queso fresco. NOM.

I bought this dress last year in Detroit, MI at a local thrift shop. It was brand new with original tags and only $12.50! Also couldn’t help but notice it was for petites of which I’ve finally accepted that I am. Paired it with some simple flats and my favorite black fedora.

I finally took it for a spin at LACMA’s food truck lunch. Even brought my favorite four legged bestie.
