I like the idea that it's implied that he desensitised himself into being unfazed by bloodshed (comparing drinking to fighting). If this is true it makes sense why he likes to see the fear in his enemies eyes and gets excited when he's in a 'fight or die' situation (even getting disappointed that he was spared) + his fighting style is mentioned to be merciless soo

Assuming that the blood he drained is the blood of hilichurls/the Abyss Order, it would add more spice 😋😋😋

This is a remake of my fanfic from nearly 2 years ago lol. Figured I should do some justice to the plot now that I’m partially finished with Nod Krai. After the return of the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, things changed rapidly. The good outweighs the bad, albeit the magnitude of ‘bad’ was unable to be imagined. Kaeya found himself face to face with his own conflicts and identity. He felt lost yet so seen that it haunted him so much he was barely able to catch a break. Among all his contingency plans in case something goes haywire, he was caught off guard by the intervention from a totally unexpected party.

When asked why I prefer CN Kaeya over EN Kaeya... It's simple!

I really like how in CN he sounds more "genuine", even at times when he's lying, u can hear the faint half truth half lie tone as mentioned ["You can only trust half of what he says, at best."——Diluc about Kaeya] His VA also does his more "sentimental" side so well, don't even mention the childlike innocent playfulness

[this lowkey gets me in awe because he mentioned how he wished that he could be a carefree child like klee again...]

He has his flamboyant and charmer moments of course but the more you interact with him, especially his hangouts, u get this soft and shy guy, as though a little break from his facade.

Much like how he was described when he was younger, except it never actually left him.

Moreover, since his CN VA also voices Dainsleif and Jingyuan, he sounds even more like a person with authority (and with high elegance) It fits his character as a respected, competent captain, albeit one whose methods are questionable sometimes...

Icl EN him is more sarcastic in terms of jokes and jabbing at people lol I love both, they're amazing and unique in their own ways/interpretations but CN has a big soft spot in my heart <3

What if the reason behind why Kaeya wears an eyepatch despite being fine is that it was indeed "grandpa" related, he was told by his mother about the stories of the bygone past of their family and he grew inspired by the one eyed ruler Anfortas
