So after finishing shadow and bone in one day I just had to reread the duology, and yeah, now I’m even more invested in the characters than before.. also I missed wylan

What is your FAULT?
I’m far too self-critical. My instant reaction is to think the worst of myself, either my work but also social interactions. I believe that most people battle with this to varying degrees, but that tone of voice that you speak to yourself is so much harsher than the way you’d ever speak to someone else.

When Nina looked at Kaz, she couldn’t quite believe her eyes. “Saints, Kaz, you actually look happy.” “Don’t be ridiculous,” he snapped. But there was no mistaking it.

carve your name into my bedpost ‘cause i don’t want you like a best friend
How am I supposed to pick a favorite ship from Six of Crows? Kanej? Unique when it comes to YA couples/pairings. Helnik? Wonderfully done enemies to lovers. Wesper? My actual favorite couple Super sweet and adorable. All of them help the other overcome their demons and traumas. thank you Leigh Bardugo for writing such wonderful characters

SHADOW AND BONE (2021—)
Before Jesper was old enough to work the fields with his father, he’d been allowed to stay home with her. There was always laundry to be done, food to be made, wood to be chopped, and Jesper loved to help her. “How’s my land?” she’d ask every day when his father returned from the fields, and later Jesper would learn that the farm had been in her name, a wedding gift from his father, who had courted Aditi Hilli for nearly a year before she’d deigned to give him the time of day. “Blooming,” he’d say, kissing her cheek. “Just like you, love.”
