This is a comic I made back in 2013. I like drawing not only the story my friend Brit told me, but also showing us hanging out blazing in her backyard while she told me the story, and the other dialogue we had during that time.

These are a few of many short comics I’ve made, illustrating stories, both true and false, of me and my friends. I like the consistent theme of youth culture and suburban culture throughout my comics, as well as having moments in my work that people can identify with.

These are some GIFs I made. I consider these to be in the same category of work as my illustrated comics. I like to draw cartoons of me and my friends doing simple, identifiable things, with a very loose style.

The Girls Trip The Girls Trip was inspired by the naivety found in both the religious and secular communities I’ve grown up alongside. It was fun to create and I learned a lot about what it takes to commit to and build comics from a simple idea.

The is a still life I painted when I was studying abroad in the Bezalel Academy of Art + Design in Jerusalem, Israel. I learned a lot of technique in the school there, and was also exposed to the vastly rich culture there, which still is manifests itself in my daily life.

My Draw-Walk Board

Upon completing my first human figure drawing course, I fell in love with drawing from life. I immediately wished I could walk and draw at the same time so I could life draw anywhere… So I created this for exactly that purpose! 

There are a few more instruments I am still working on which are to be paired with this invention to further motivate my highly stimulating performance-based drawing.

This is a scroll I made, using my draw-walk board. The marks are transcribed from around Calgary in many different public locations, through a series of walks.
