Okay Elsamaren is my otp but I also love Elsabela as the ship that got me passionate about lesbian Elsa (before that I thought she was aroace). I think Frozen 3/4 should make Elsamaren canon and there should also be a season 8 of ouat that incorporates Encanto and involves Elsa and Isabela getting together 🤭

She has so many great micro expressions! I use to wonder how a cartoon character could act as well as a real actor, then realize they have a whole team of execs analyzing every microsecond of the film 😛

And with the confirmation of "Frozen 4" bringing the spotlight back to "Frozen 3", the ElsaMaren fandom gained a new peak of popularity and with it a new peak of haters who began to spread the couple's classic fake news.

At least two fake news stories have been created that have become popular in recent years:

Honeymaren is underage, 16, during the events of "Frozen 2"

Honeymaren is Elsa's cousin

The first one that was popularized after they faked a tweet from Jennifer Lee, I haven't found it recently being spread, maybe because everyone agrees that there will be a time skip of at least 3 years, so unless these people change the age of Honeymaren for 14 years and under in the fake tweet, no one will care.

Unlike the first fake news, we don't have anything official about it, although watch the film and consider that this woman is 16 years old or younger considering that she is similar in height to women in their twenties, and she is still the leader of a battalion of war with the reconnaissance function is a little strange to say the least.

But the second we have official words against it:

When Iduna was 5 years old, her entire family and tribe were massacred by invaders. She was adopted by Yelana's tribe, and for 7 years it was never revealed that anyone survived the massacre other than her

Although for me, and for 90% of the people who watched the film, Honeymaren's quote talking about the scarf and old families was always against this cousin theory.

But I understand the creation of fake news against Honeymaren and ElsaMaren because unlike other shipps involving Elsa where you need to create fanfics or go against canon for these pairings to make any sense, with ElsaMaren it is literally a simple case of relationship evolution like KristAnna.

Also, it reminds me how creative / neurodivergent brains (guilty 😀) often see something that reminds us of something else… making connections that seem obvious/intuitive to us, but others think are out of left field
