Met another milestone yesterday! Ran at least 4 miles every single day in May! I'm also finally seeing progress. The top picture is from early March before I started running consistently and before I started the Pure Barre classes. The bottom picture is from today after 2 months of daily runs and two pure barre classes a week.
2 Month progress! The picture on the left is from early March right when I started going to Pure Barre and before I started running. Picture in the left was taken May 1. This is after I started attending Pure Barre twice a week and running at least 3 miles a day. I didn't realize how much progress was made until seeing it in pictures. Hoping to actually tone up and get some visible definition soon!!
Ran at least 3 miles a day every day for the month of April. First time I have broken 100 miles in a month. Also did 2 Pure Barre classes a week. Making it a habit is the hardest part but so happy to feel stronger and more confident!
So far my April has killed. Trying to force myself into the habit. With the warmer weather I don’t have an excuse. I’ve had a run every single day in April so far! Side Note: The slower times are when I take my dog with me. He likes to attempt to chase things and throws my pace a bit off
This describes my exact feelings towards running

Soooooo, the cold kind of killed my motivation for a minute. I don’t have a gym memebership and my working out involves a ton of running outside. The cold bouts we’ve had have really cramped my style. I can run in 20-30 degree weather but I attempted to on one of the 8 degree windy days and felt like my cheeks were going to become frost bitten.
I did take advantage of the few freakishly warm days we’ve had but I have not gotten the runs in that I had planned. The weathe ris supposed to be in the 30’s all week (Yay!) so I will be back on track.
The Winter is a challenge and this is the first year I’ve actually kept working out. Usually I take a 3-4 month hiatus. So I’m making progress!!
Spring cannot arrive soon enough!
30 Day Running Challenge
29. Do you like running with a buddy, in groups, or solo? Why?
I usually prefer to run solo because it gives me time to just enjoy my music and let my mind wander. It’s just so peaceful to enjoy a nice long run on an early morning. Especially in the Spring/Summer when the weather becomes perfect.
I don’t mind running with someone because it usually challenges me a bit. When I’m on my own I slow down/ speed up when necessary. But when I’m running with someone and they are going faster I will push myself to keep pace the whole time. Not sure if this is good or bad. But usually I do pretty good so it’s encouraging!

28. Headphones in or out? If in, what music gets you the most pumped up for running?
Definitely in. I have such a difficult time running without music. I have a pretty random mix. My “power” songs include:
“Too Late For Us Now”- Roger Joseph Manning Jr
“Super Mario 64”- (The music in the first slide level when you jump into the stained glass Princess Peach)
“Gonna Fly Now”- (Theme from Rocky)
“What’s My Age Again” – Blink 182
“Mr. Blue Sky”- ELO
“I Feel it All”- Feist
I usually have a hard time listening to slow music while running unless it’s a more laid back run.
Kicked some ass today! My time has improved so much over the last 6-8 months!!

26. The only day in the challenge where I’m going to ask you to run: go run a mile as fast as you can and tell us about it!
Gotta do this one when I’m not at work. But I’m thinking I can beat my best time. My pace has improved so much over the last few months.
27. While running do you use any watches or apps? What technology do you utilize?
I’m addicted to the Nike running app. I love knowing my stats when I run. It’s almost more rewarding that way. And then I have to have music when I run. It just helps to clear the head and put everything in perspective.

Something I'm seriously considering...

23. If you couldn’t run for the rest of your life, what other exercise would you start doing in its place?
I would probably switch to biking. Not quite the same amount of enjoyment but I think I could get into it.
24. What’s your favorite pre-run snack or meal?
A small bowl of cereal or a banana.
25. What’s your favorite post-run snack or meal?
Smoothie!
Yep, I will be making these
I want to live in a place where this is part of my running scenery
