Sometimes things don’t have to be bad. Sometimes you can not have a ‘major sin' that consumes you. Sometimes it's simply reading the Word and being convicted of a quality you are lacking. Sometimes life is much more than getting the bad out.  Sometimes life is about enjoying all the good their is around you. Sometimes life is finding God, not in his wrath that boils because of sin, but through his good and perfect plan that orchestrates even the simplest of details.  Sometimes you enjoy God, not because of what He has done, but because of who He is.

As Christians, know that God is completely capable of delivering you from mental illness, but also know that it’s completely okay to ask your loved ones for help and see a doctor. God gave us science, don’t be afraid to take advantage of it.

Dude I needed this so bad today. Everyone is against me taking medication for ADHD, it’s so stressful to be around people who judge you based on a pill you take😓🤕

You know what’s amazing? No matter how long you have gone without talking to God, without being in His presence, as soon as you turn back to Him, He is right there. With open arms, just waiting for you. And then He embraces you, and you can feel His overwhelming love. His peace and comfort, and everything is okay again.

He’s a really good God.

Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.

Jesus didn’t just die for your sins.

Jesus died for your fear. Jesus died for your worry. Jesus died for your doubt. Jesus died for your anger. Jesus died for your hurt. Jesus died for your bitterness. Jesus died for your anxiety. Jesus died for your depression. Jesus died for your sickness. Jesus died for your disorder. Jesus died for your shame. Jesus died for your addiction. Jesus died for your sorrow. Jesus died for your pain.

By the grace of God you are not subject to live with any of this. When Jesus took the cross, He took it all. Receive the full gift of grace; in Jesus, you’re not partially free, or half free, but you are free indeed.
