For me to read in another 5 years...

Found my first ever zine I made in 2017 today. I printed it out into a booklet at the print shop. I was so proud just for completing an idea fully back then. My art back then was so messy and random.

Looking back these all feel so weightless, drawing and experimenting without the fear of ever being bad. I never feared stepping out of my comfort zone because I didn’t have one. Even the crappiest doodle back then, filled me with a sense of accomplishment. “It’s done!” “Nice work, next time less ink”.

When did I start hating every drawing half way through?

I think with improvement I became stiff, stagnant, stifled and scared of making mistakes. It’s such a weird feeling. I should try to jump out of my comfort zone more...

...but then again what’s wrong with comfort.
