I find it funny that there are quite a few fics where some characters hate Anakin for no clear reason. It’s just so strange to see the 501st dislike Anakin or a friend of Obi-Wan being suspicious of him.

And speaking of suspicion, I think it’s really boring when everyone seems to know that something’s off with Palpatine. I hate when it’s overtly obvious.

it’s also telling when people completely write padme as something else. like I’m sorry but why is it okay for obi-wan to continue to love anakin or luke to see the good in anakin but suddenly when its padme it’s how she enables him or that they would’ve gotten a divorce eventually

I think why I’m so opposed to obi-wan/ anyone is because it kind of defeats the purpose of the issues he has with anakin. Like the whole point is obi-wan will deny deny deny anything that isn’t the Jedi way. Which directly damages anakin and their relationship since obi-wan keeps him at arm's length

like this guy is overtly critical / repressed . He literally doesn’t tell anakin he loves him until he’s dying. And that’s arguably the person he loves the most. So I don’t find it very believable that he would have many love interests

obi-wan having a tragic past doesn’t interest me. maybe it’s just me but I just don’t like the idea of obi-wan having a similar background to Anakin . I think it makes more sense for his character to have been more normal and privileged (?) life and where the only time he’s ever gone through anything is when qui-gon died.

Can I just say that Anakin being insecure about the fact that Obi-Wan didn’t actually want him, and was more out of duty (for Qui-Gon), is infinitely better than jealous Anakin.
