There is code used in the red numbers on each page, though. It can be translated by using the number in front of a right parentheses to indicate the Gravity Falls episode number and  the numbers that follow it to indicate the letter number of the episode's decoded credits cryptogram. Brackets indicate the beginning and end of words. So far, all that has been decoded of the message that seems to be composed of codes from all the images that flash at the ending of each short combined is: "I WAS SO BLIND E_____ THE DAR____"
