I wanted to make my own “Sinners” group, but instead I’ll be calling my group “Muses” and they ride an Omnibus. So I’ll call them the LCOB; Limbus Company Omnibus :)
I know I’ve already reblogged this but after reading through properly, I’m wondering, does Sappho have any connection to the index seeing as how she has some connections to Aphrodite, and Hermes is a god of the index in project moon, and were brush and hush part of both the pointilist and fauvist parts of the ring, or was it one in each
I’d like to say that Sappho has Index connections and receives orders directly from Aphrodite. I’d also like to say that Sappho expects some kind of reward by completing Aphrodite’s commands. Her being in the LCOB is very impersonal to her because it’s really just another mission given to her by Aphrodite. But I have a little roadblock in my head that it would be kind of weird for Sappho, a wealthy person, to join a Backstreets Syndicate… but then I figured it might just be a means of receiving the aforementioned “reward” from Aphrodite.
As for Brush and Hush, Brush was a pointillist and Hush was a fauvist. Though they were technically separate, the memory and experience is sort of shared. Their freakish neon green eyes are so unnaturally colored because it is a device that essentially connects their brains. They’re very perfectly synchronized twins and they share thoughts and memories. They consider themselves as one being that was simultaneously part of both, but they were there separately.
What inspired ur ocs? If u don’t mind me asking? They’re so cool btw I’m just bad at catching references:(
I’m actually really glad I was asked this! :D
I guess my inspiration traces back to an art project I did years ago. It was for a Women’s History Month assignment and I decided to make a drawing devoted to the author Christine De Pizan. She has a book titled “The Book of the City of Ladies” in which she is feeling ashamed of being a woman because of a book she read. The three virtues—Reason, Rectitude, and Justice—appear to teach Christine about all the wonderful women of the world while building a city for said women. Christine is taught not to be ashamed of being a woman.
And imagine my surprise when I discovered that this book by Christine was inspired by The Divine Comedy. As I was playing Limbus, I was reminded of her work and I started to get an idea of a Christine-based manager whose Sinners were all based off of female characters in literature. I decided to use stories I’ve read before since I don’t have a lot of time to read nowadays :(
I decided to call them “Muses” instead of “Sinners” because Sappho is often referred to as the “10th Muse” and I found that fitting for a group of characters following a manager who utilizes a book and quill.
I’m not entirely sure of you were looking for explanations of each individual character, but I’m honestly scared that I’m making this response too long-
Thank you for asking though!! 🩷💚 Apologies if I didn’t give all the info you were looking for
Hi this may be a dumb question but I was wondering : how did you find the names of the signature colors of your limbus ocs?? I’m trying to find a color for my own oc but I can’t seem to find the cool names people find uuu…
I can’t lie… I just went and searched up where pjmoon gets their colors and all I saw said that they made it up 😭
So I figured I’d do the same and just make stuff up since I wanted some more specific names. But if you want some real color names, I did find this website of 18000 colors! :D
Color-Names: All the 18k color names from the color-name-list API

I have way too many ideas for Sinner OCs so I just gave up on keeping them in my head and I made my own bus.
Currently they are just in chibi form and I didn’t draw their weapons, but over time they will get proper artwork.
More info and close-ups below the cut! Warning, it gets long.
I was thinking about this author I had researched for an art project I did: Christine De Pizan. I was so intrigued by her and “The Book of the City of Ladies”
So I had an idea of some kind of Christine-based manager and from there I started wracking my brain for stories I’ve read with female protagonists for me to use as part of her bus.
So I’ll go through the list and mention just a little about them as I go.
Sinner #1: Princess Winnifred the Woebegone
Also known as Winnifred or Fred, I based her off of The Princess and the Pea because I really liked that story as a kid. However, because I needed a name and more context to her character, I turned to the 1959 musical, Once Upon a Mattress. Fred keeps her crown in all of her IDs
Sinner #2: Louise Mallard
Based off of The Story of an Hour. Kate Chopin’s works was introduced to me by an English teacher I had back in high school. I was inspired by that teacher when making Louise’s design. Louise keeps her wedding ring in all of her IDs.
Sinner #3: Josephine March
Most commonly known as Jo. I read Little Women quite recently and loved Jo’s character so I felt I should add her. It’s not very noticeable in this drawing, but she has a white glove on one hand. She keeps this glove in all of her IDs
Sinner #4: “Cesario”/Viola
School-mandated Shakespeare made the cut here. Based off of Twelfth Night. Viola is in the Cesario disguise while on the bus and goes by he/him while disguised. I think that when I write more about Viola’s backstory, that I’ll expand more on that whole “shipwreck” thing. I want to make it more dramatic and traumatizing. Cesario keeps the violet flower in all of his IDs.
Sinner #5: Brush & Hush
Based off of The Color Kittens, another childhood favorite of mine. Despite being technically two people, they function as one Sinner. They are also exclusively referred to as plural and they do the same when referring to themselves. You cannot refer to just one twin; they don’t like it. I know I said I was looking for female protagonists and their gender isn’t specified in the source material, but shhh… They keep their bandanas with them in all their IDs.
Sinner #6: Sappho
Yes, she’s named after the author. But the character here will be mostly based off of Ode to Aphrodite. I thought to myself that if Yi Sang can do it, then I can too. Lately I’ve been intrigued by just how little information about her is left. She wears the gold wreath in all of her IDs.
Sinner #7: Jenny
Based off The Green Ribbon. I learned about this story for the first time when someone in my middle school told it to me. The person who told me the story misremembered it and said “scarf” instead of ribbon. As such, I decided to give her a green scarf that is tied in a bow as if it were a big ribbon. The scarf is worn in all her IDs.
Sinner #8: Christine
I’m not sure if I made it very noticeable, but Christine doesn’t have a body at all in this design. The only way to see them is by the clothes they wear. They wear a cloth on their “head” so that it doesn’t look so weird that a headless person is walking around. Since the actual Christine was often portrayed as wearing blue in artwork, I decided to give them blue fire. And instead of a “rewind” concept I went with a “rewrite” concept.
Instead of having one guide like how the main gang has Verg, I want Christine’s group to sort of shuffle through the three virtues who guided Christine in The Book of the City of Ladies: Reason, Rectitude, and Justice. Or maybe all three virtues are there with them at all times? I’m not entirely sure yet, but I know I definitely want the three virtues to remain as Christine’s guides.
I have an inside joke with me and myself that my sona exists in every universe so as celebration for me watching 100 episodes of MHA, she has been adapted to another world.
Yes, I know there’s already a character with a Chimera quirk… but it ruins the joke if I make the sona NOT Chimera-themed cuz then it just isn’t her 😞 as a result, I have NO clue what her quirk would even be but that’s okay because she’s silly and I like her anyways.
I had a plan to make up these big fancy runway-esque outfits, draw the Sinners in them, and then put a Lady Gaga lyric on it but uh. I very quickly gave up. Here’s how far I got though
ALL art I have made of my Limbus OC so far compiled into one post.
I decided to make this post because… I realized that despite rereading her source material SEVERAL times, I have been misreading (and therefore misspelling) her name every single time. I mentally added an extra “n” into her name. So I had to go back and change anything that had her name in it 😭
My goal was to mimic the art styles as closely as I possibly could, but below the cut is two drawings of her in my own style.
Warning: One of them is technically nude?? (without showing anything), and the other is OC x Canon
