Why Kentucky Fans Are the Worst
To my friends and family who are UK fans, no worries. I know y'all keep it classy and my hat's off to you on the game your team played against mine. You all exemplify what it means to be good sports, and yes we do have some fun digs at each other...but strictly in good fun. Now then... A major lot of Kentucky basketball fans aren't so classy. They're like that rich kid in high school who had everything handed to him, who never had to earn anything, and who had no character or class. It's easy to be fans of a basketball team that has over 2000 wins and 8 NCAA Championships. But that's not good enough, is it? After winning against any team that gives you even the slightest run for your money, you mock them and kick them while they're down. Coming up with clever little ways to disrespect your rivals and defeated opponents isn't smart. It's called being an asshole, and we all know what happens to those in the prison shower.
When Louisville won the NCAA Championship this past April (2013), for me, personally, it was a long time coming. It was so gratifying, because I had been cheering Louisville for 26 years...my entire life. I sat through some of the toughest times in the history of this program, but I didn't jump on some bandwagon, though it would have been easy to do so. Just the year before when UK won it, I got this strong sense of entitlement from the lot of the fanbase. Also, I saw in Lexington couches being burned and cars being flipped, among other acts of vandalism and disorderly conduct. Not one couch went up in flames after Louisville won. Spiteful Kentucky fans will claim shots were fired in the West End, but none of that has been proven. Plus a couple bullet holes in a wall or a window somewhere is much less of an issue (seeing as no one was hurt, anyway) than flipped cars and burnt couches. Since you all are so quick to bust out the 8 NCAA Championships which dot a timeline that runs from the 1940s to 2012, you conveniently skip over the parts that you don't like. For instance being the first basketball program to receive the death penalty for point shaving and allowing ineligible players to compete. What happened for the 1952-'53 season? Nothing. There was no basketball played by Kentucky that year. And the next year, y'all allowed 3 players that had graduated the previous year to compete, and when the NCAA called you on it, Coach Rupp had Kentucky sit out the NCAA Tournament. And I won't even go into the Eddie Sutton era, or how much of a class act Richie Farmer is. Maybe "Loserville" is little brother, but that's the price you pay for doing things the right way, I guess. And that's why any one member of #CardNation will have more class and the character of the major lot of #BBN combined. You don't see Cards fans making any one of those dubious lists of "Most Annoying Fans" or "Most Hated Fans".
So, congratulations. You won a basketball game in December. You're well on your way to the Championship. The next two months of conference play are just a formality, I guess. Oh, and how many of you suddenly jumped on the Miami Hurricanes bandwagon right after the basketball game? Because all y'all are losers. 36-9, read it and weep, fools. Y'all don't even have a football team...or at least one worth mentioning. You're the SEC's punching bag. The warm up game. The one that any one of the great teams in the SEC uses to gain some momentum or gain back some confidence after it's been shaken. Oh the shame!

Not to nitpick or anything, but you jumped out of the Stratosphere, which isn't space. Yeah, kind of a weather nerd.
