Textile Design: 'Reverence for Kahlil'

This project was initiated by the prompt of mapping. Words and language quite often take a considerable role in the work I create. Sometimes it's visibly evident, but other times the words and their associated semantics simply help me to formulate a direction of response I am aiming to elicit from those who see the work. The inspiration for this piece is directly tied to that love of language, and in particular a poem and poet I have long held dear to heart.

I'm in Deer Isle, Maine this week for the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts Art School Collaborative. This location and the campus are out of this world beautiful.
