@kehideni I'd say just go for it and tag accordingly. Fandom culture and etiquette is the same, really young ppl just ignore it usually and then get pikachu surprised faced when something isn't to their liking. Which is to say, everything is the same ol' same ol'

Maybe someone can help me feel better about this. I’ve been kind of missing from the fandom scene for years now. I miss it and want to go back to drawing and contributing but feel so weird about it now that I’m a 30-something mom. I don’t even know what fandoms look like anymore and it honestly seems like they’re even more cliqueish and captious than ever. I want to enjoy things with other people again. I don’t know. I’m sad and nostalgic, I guess.

Aw hi! Yeah I'm sorry about that, to be honest it's because it's not fun being part of this fandom anymore. I'm not going to say the fandom is completely dead, but it's mostly comic fans complaining about the "irreparable damage" the series has done or Robin fans claiming that he solos the entire team and I'm over it.

I doubt s6 is ever happening now that Greg has Parkinson's and has been fired from his role as Beast Boy, and even if it were miraculously green-lit I don't think I'd want it anymore if it didn't have the entire OG cast.

There's nothing really keeping me here other than the memories of this blog since I've had it for so long. I'll still check in every once in a while, but I doubt I'll be as active as I used to be. Plus I've got a lot of stuff going on in my personal life, I don't really have time to be on social media lol

This is so sad because I feel so much the same. With Greg being fired any kind of return seems unlikely, and even if it happened it wouldn't be the same. And I also follow the Titans comic and the one that comes out tomorrow seems to be switching to a new roster? (the current includes Nightwing, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire which made it special to me) So I feel like I'm losing that too.

I've been feeling weirdly motivated to contribute some art, maybe even a comic to the fandom again, but whenever I look to see what is going on here or on DeviantART (where I first started creating fan art) everything is so dead. Or saturated with AI. It's pretty disheartening.

Some thought process under the cut!

I've always wanted to depict chronic pain or waves of pain with red circle-ish pattern, well There's finally a piece where I can use it! Super happy! It's the big chunks of circle shapes centered on him, and they're supposed to represent radiation & radiation pain!

Also I have no idea how to represent the "human turning into ghost" theme outside of his body, I used red blood transitioning to green blood in the end and it just looks like his human blood was blasted out of him lol, I hope I get it across
