TW: abandonment, breakdown, self-hatred, possible panic/anxiety attack, self-harm implications. Please remember this is fictional, read with caution if you're triggered by any of these.
Ju has been staring at the table where the envelope was for over 30 minutes now. She finally stood up and went over to it, picking it up and then going to her bedroom, sitting on the edge of her bed, and opening the envelope. When she began readed the letter, she realized it was wirtten in Spanish, it was definitely Eira's letter, specially with that handwriting.
//writing the letter in english because I don't want to write it two times :3//
'Lee, I'm writing this letter to you to tell you that I'm sorry. I know you must be wondering why I decided to leave in the first place, i didn't want to abandon you, I wanted to protect you. I've done things I'm not exactly. . . proud of, and I know those things would've affected you. But I promise you it was not your fault, you did absolutely nothing wrong, Lee. I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing okay, still pretty cold if you ask me, and I'd like to ask you to please, stop looking for me. Believe me when I say that it will have a negative effect on your life if you ever find me, I'm. . . not the same person you knew four years ago. I'd love to see you again, trust me, but it's better if you stop searching for me. Just remember, I love you, Lee. -Eira'
Ju stared at that letter. She couldn't believe what she just read. Her hands were shaking, she felt so many feelings in the moment she couldn't identify them. Did she felt anger? Did she felt sadness? Did they feel disappointment? Did he feel emotionally numb? They didn't know.
Whatever feeling she felt, it was certaint that those feelings had been bottled up for a long time, and they snapped at it. She threw the letter to the floor, tears falling down her cheeks hesitantly, as they were trying to hold them back.
Eventually she just bursted into crying, you could hear the pain in each sob and cry. Anyone would think they're just overreacting, but they aren't. Like, imagine: spending the past years trying to find your brother who DISAPPEARED, just to be told by him to just give up? Of course Ju's gonna feel this way!
All they ever wanted was to be able to reunite with her brother, with Eira, the only family she had left after they both left the place were they came from.
She was crying loudly, she was probably gonna get complains from the neighboors from making too much noise, but she couldn't care less in this moment. She was feeling suffocated by her own thoughts, it was difficult to breath, they were not in a good mindset, and were not in their five senses.
Everything felt suddenly too much for her to stand, she felt dizzy, she wanted to rip off her skin, bite it out until everything was better. She hasn't had a breakdown like this since Eira left.
She just felt hopeless after readint that letter
But it was not her fault, was it?
She couldn't be mad at him.
Right?
It was her brother after all.
But who knew that her own family could hurt her so much.

Sienna sighed as she finally had found Jubilee's location with a lot of struggle, if he was being honest, as he was wondering if she should interact with her or not. -“Maybe, I should just...” They then hesitantly stepped up towards Jubilee's door and knocked, as he got ready for the multiple scenarios that the situation could end up being like.
Ju was playing guitar, slightly untuned, until she heard a knock on the door, strange. No one ever came visit them, and the only people who ever knocked on her door were the owners of the building to remind her to pay for the rent of the appartment.
They got up and went over to a mirror, fixing their hair a little to look more 'presentable', despite not looking presentable at all. They take a deep breath and head to the door, opening it a little to look who was it. A slight look of surprise appears on her face when they see a child, that had a lot of bandages. They sigh.
"May I help you. . ?"
She asks, still looking at the child between the gap of the door and the wall, Ju was not confident enough to open the door completely.
Sienna bit the inside of her cheek before sighing as he took a deep breath to calm down from his sudden growing anxiousness.
Candy then looked up towards the adult in front of her with a necklace with the pick of a guitar on it ; hanging from their neck. -“I... I got this letter that I was told to give you... from someone who said you were his sister..” They then mumbled hesitantly, as they knew, Jubilee could possibly think it was a joke, or a prank, rightfully... since well - Ri didn't really communicate properly.
-“Here” She then said as he handed her the envelope with his signature on it. -“I promise it's not a prank, even if you, have all the reasons to believe it is one.” They then said sincerely.
Jubilee opened the door more, so she could grab the envelope she was given. They examined it a little, there was writing on it, it said "from: ", but the name seemed to be erased, or at least attempted to be erased. Under that, it dais "To: Lee", there was only one person who every called her that.
She sighs, her hands were shaking, it was impossible for it to be joke, it was his handwriting, it had the nickname that he called her only. She places the envelope on a table that was right next to the door.
"Thank you. . . Uhm, do you want anything? I don't know- water maybe?"
She suddenly offers, se was doing her best to be polite, ignoring the anxiety she felt from receiving that envelope that she hasn't even read yet.
Sienna fiddled with her sleeves of her hoodie as she played with the bandages on her hands. -“thank you, but I'm okay, I promise” he then said anxiously, even if they had promised Ri; to check up on Jubilee.
He just didn't want to get involved in more problems with other people anymore, as they had learned to not do that anymore.
-“I hope you're day treats you well, ma'am - sir, other” Sienna then said before turning away and walking away from Jubilee's doorstep.
She would then just report back to Ri, for one last time.
Ju was about to close the door once the younger one began to walk away, but they had an important question to ask before. She stepped outside her apartment to make sure she would listen to their question. "Wait! uh-" Ju thinks for a moment, trying to find the correct words to ask. "Uhm- Is Eira doing alright. . ?"
Ju finally asks, she fidgets with the strings from her hoodie -which was the same hoodie she wore when they went to Eros' therapy session-. He has been wondering for years if her brother, Eira, had been doing okay, and now she had the chance to find out, she couldn't miss it.
Sienna turned around for a split second at hearing their voice right behind them almost,as her gaze looked behind candyself.
-“¿Si?” (yes?) They then asked for a second, a bit confused but also a bit anxiously, as their shoulders tensed as his wing tensed up as his feathers fluffed up.
-“Bueno...Algo así...?” (something like that..)
They then mumbled hesitantly. -“He just doesn't want to be found, for now... I can't tell you much...” She then stopped on her words for a second. -“Other than, I wish you could verify that on your own... Just now that he really misses you” They then said with sincerity in their words before resuming their path, as he walked away.
Ju carefully heard each word the other spoke, a little surprised that they spoke spanish, that was not something you'd see everyday. She then just nodded.
"Entiendo. . . gracias" (I see. . . thank you)
Ju then went back to the apartment. She looked at the envelope that she was given, then went to pick up her guitar and keep practicing.
She would read it after she finished composing one of her songs.

Jubilee has been at the hospital for around two days. It's not the first time she's been sent to the hospital because of her asthmatic attacks.
Most of the doctors and nurses knew who they were, not only because of their asthma attacks, but also because he had to bring someone else to the hospital some years ago, several times. Let's just say that dealing with hypothermia without medical check-ups can be extremely lethal.
One of the nurses ended up scolding Ju again for forgetting their inhaler, she has heard that talk a bunch of times, but she just always forgot about it. Once the scolding finished, she was finally allowed to go back to their appartment.
The pollution in the air was horrible, and they didn't give Ju a face mask, so she was pretty much covering both her mouth and nose with her hand, regulating her breathing. She should've taken a bus, but they decided to go walking, which was not a good option, but she didn't like public transport.
When he got to her appartment, they took a deep breath, and went to find their inhaler. They coughed a little, before placing the inhaler on both his mouth and nose, and began inhaling the broncholidator she used. The air pollution from the air was so bad it almost sent her into another asthmatic attack.
But they were fine now. Ju decided to just lie down on her bed and use her phone for a little, until they fell asleep, which was like some kind of miracle, since they never fell asleep that easily.
Ju was lying down on bed, staring at the ceiling, big eye bags under her eyes, it was just another night without sleep. He checked the time, it was 8:00 AM, time to get going.
Ju stood up and stretched a little, he's been wearing the same clothes for weeks now, and decided to change them just because they were going somewhere else. She pretty much grabbed the first thing he saw on the closet, a hoodie with red strings and some other red details, and a pair of black jeans.
She went to the bathroom and got changed, not bothering to shower, but bothering enough to put on some deodorant. Ju picked up her guitar and placed it on its case, her eyes glaring at a folder next to the case.
He shook his head and sighed, she would worry about him later, he grabbed her phone and left the apartment.
They went to the direction they were given, it was far from his house, but he decided to go walking. He got there at 9:01 AM. She sighs, accomodates her glasses, takes a deep breath, coughing a little in the process, and walks in.
"Hello. . ?"
Ju says when they walk in, her voice was quiet, as they were still unsure if this would be a good idea. She wondered if her physical aspect was good, she hoped they weren't. . . shadowing a little.

Eros who was talking to the front desk lady about something related to his job, quickly turned his head as he heard the bell of the therapist building center ring, as someone had just entered.
His pink eyes quickly looked towards the noise as the front desk lady and him stopped talking. -“Hello, how may we help you?” He then said to the stranger in front of him ; who was wearing a red hoodie and some black jeans plus a dark navy scarf around their neck, while wearing a friendly smile.
It hasn't been that long ago, he just arrived to start his daily shift at the therapy center of a hospital.
Ju didn't expect an answer so quickly, she takes a deep breath, her breathing was a little off since the air pollution was pretty bad outside.
"Uh. . . I'm Jubilee and- I think I'm here for a uh. . . a therapy session. . ?"
Ju said, avoiding eye contact at all cost, she was so. . . socially awkward, according to some people they've met.
Eros was about to say something before the lady at the desk cut him off before he could say anything.
-“I'll search you up in the data base, and then you'll be given a number to a room, and the name of your therapist” The lady at the desk then said as she searched up Jubilee's name up, in the database of the laptop, as Eros then left to his work room, were he would be waiting for Jubilee.
Eventually she found her name. -“You'll be going to room 101, down the hallway to your left” She then said as she smiled at her kindly.
"Alright, thanks."
He said almost in a whisper, going to where she was told to. They knocked on the door and walked in.
"H- hello. . ."
They greeted, closing the door behind him and standing there awkwardly. They were not sure what to do now. They take another deep breath, they may have forgotten their asthma inhaler at home.
-“Hi?” Eros then said after he had left without a word, as he himself had felt anxious at realizing he had a patient first thing in the morning, and could have come off as rude.
-“Hi, I'm Eros, and I'm your assigned therapist” He then said after clearing his throat, as he smiled at Jubilee, as he then sat down. -“May I know, what your pronouns are?” He then said gently, as to not startle Jubilee too much, who'm already seemed close towards panicking out of the therapy session.
"My. . . my pronouns. . ? Uh. . ."
Ju knew what her pronouns were, but they still couldn't accept them completely, for some reason. He sighs.
"My pronouns are- He/Him."
Ju said, she knew that was a lie, but it's not like it mattered anyway. They finally decided to take a seat after a few minutes of standing by the door. Ju felt nervous, her skin was notably more pale than when he first entered the building.
-“Alright, I'll keep that in mind, also please do take a seat, I promise this is a safe place”
Eros then said as soft as possible while keeping his voice calm, as he tried to keep Jubilee, who was shaking a lot, away from possibly entering a panic attack.
-“Also... Is there any other name, you would like for me to call you, or is Jubilee, okay?” He then spoke as he tilted his head up to look at him without making much eye contact, in case Jubilee didn't like that.
"Uhm- No, Jubilee is fine. . ."
They said, she was fidgeting with her fingers, obviously trying to remain calm.
It was clear she hasn't stepped into a therapist office in her life.
-“Alright”
Eros then sat up straight on his chair with a clipboard with some pages to fill in and a pen already on his left hand, as the therapy session began just as Jubilee took a seat.
-“Say would you like to play uno cards?” He then offered her, as he usually started a simple game with his patients to play with him, to get them to let out some of their pent up energy from keeping their feelings bottled all up, but to also distract them from their self deprecating feelings and eventually make them open up.
-“It's okay, if you don't know the rules, I could explain them or we could play some goldfish, I'd you'd like” He then offered kindly, to let him know the rules, as he got out the two sets of box cards for both games, for Jubilee to choose from.
"Uh. . . Uno would be okay. . ."
Jubilee said, her shaking had slowed down, but he felt still unsure about this, he takes a deep breath again.
Does she really deserve to get help?
After a while of playing and seeing that Jubilee had relaxed, Eros would then start the actual real session without him, realizing it, as Jubilee had stated to open up on his own.
-“So you have a brother, who ran away, and you think it's your fault?” He then asked Jubilee, as he wrote down something on his clipboard, as he then raised an eyebrow. -“What makes you think that?” He then asked softly.
"Well- I mean I must have done something wrong for him to leave. . . Right?"
Ju stated, she was kinda just staring at the Uno cards since they were still playing the game. Ju has not realized that the actual therapy session started, as he was way more relaxed by now.
They pull out a +4 card.
-“I don't think that's what happened”
Eros finds himself saying truthfully. -“You said him and you, used to travel a lot right?” He then questioned him.
-“And you said he always smiled at you and trusted everything to you, and even helped you write some songs” He then paused to look up at him, as he grabbed four uno cards from the middle of the table as Jubilee pulled out a +4.
-“That doesn't sound like someone who hate you or even be mad at you, enough to leave your side” He then said with sincerity, from what Jubilee had told him so far about the situation.
"Well. . . he was pretty- unpredictable at times." Ju muttered, she was incredibly convinced it was their fault that he left her, the fact their last interaction wasn't the best one didn't help, but she wasn't gonna talk about it.
"Uno" Ju suddenly spoke out, only having one card in hand. She yawns a bit.
Eros raised an eyebrow up at the words, as he had heard a similar tired and exhausted yet scared tone, in his previous interactions with other people throughout the years ; he knew those words, held implications towards something, if he wasn't wrong-
In assuming certain things
-“Would you like to talk about it?” He then asked while keeping his tone neutral, as to not make Jubilee shut himself away again.
He then chuckled as Jubilee said uno. -“That was a good play” He then said as he turned the next game into goldfish without him noticing.
He then waited to see whenever Jubilee would open or not, if not ; they could work on it eventually during Jubilee's next therapy session.
Ju realizes she's been opening up a little too much, she sighs, and looks down at her feet.
"I don't really- want to talk about it."
They said, he knew he wouldn't be able to explain what she meant with that, since it would mean having to talk about her whole life, literally about her whole life. And she didn't want that.
Their breaths were becoming more heavy, though. As if she was trying to catch more air. I already mentioned Jubilee had asthma, did I?
Ju was lying down on bed, staring at the ceiling, big eye bags under her eyes, it was just another night without sleep. He checked the time, it was 8:00 AM, time to get going.

"Well. . . he was pretty- unpredictable at times." Ju muttered, she was incredibly convinced it was their fault that he left her, the fact their last interaction wasn't the best one didn't help, but she wasn't gonna talk about it.
"Uno" Ju suddenly spoke out, only having one card in hand. She yawns a bit.
