Commercial Lesbian Flag Poll (please only lesbians vote)

Please take the survey here

I know people are tired of these (so am I) but in order to get merchandise made by pride I need a concencous.

What it is: a poll to find an alternative flag model to provide to companies in order get Lesbian flag merchandise.

Why: the companies I’ve reached out to require a concencous on which flag to use in order to reduce cost: hence narrowing it down to one.

What is wrong with the all-pink Lesbian flag? A LOT. 1) Racism. Biphobia. Anti-butch. Ablest. This is not the kind of person we want representing our community. 2) it’s a modified version of the lipstick lesbian flag and was never meant for all lesbians.

How did you select the flags for this poll? One is the rainbow flag, the rest are winners of old surveys trying to pick a top flag. NO OTHER FLAGS WILL BE ADDED.

How is this poll different from all the others? This poll is not trying to pick an ‘official’ flag: only an alternative specifically lesbian flag to the all-pink one that will (hopefully) be available in stores to buy before pride. Within online spaces and independent creators should feel free to continue use any alternative Lesbian flag they wish.

How does this poll work: you will give each flag a rating of 1 to 5. One being that you would never use that flag, five being that it is your preferred flag.

How will results be determined: hopefully using the rainbow flag as a control I will pick the flag that has the most ‘positive’ reviews (3-5) and the least negative reviews (1-2). That way the flag chosen, though it might not be everyone’s top pick, is one that the community feels decently ‘okay’ with.

How long will this survey last: I’m hoping for a minimum of 4,000 responses. The more people spread this around the faster I can get a decision made and the faster I can get back to pride companies about a choice.

hey there. i used to be active in the discourse as @fuckthisdiscourse and later this url, and i run a positivity blog called @nomatterwhat-youare. i was never too popular but i had some “big” discourse blogs following me (i made a pride month psa post that went around a bit) for a while, although i keep moving blogs and changing urls because the discourse has been hard on me so ive lost a lot of those followers.

this is a problem because im in a place right now where i really need help. i cant go into detail too much but we here where im dont have money for anything (food, gas, bills, literally anything) and i only turned 18 half a year ago and i lost my id and need money to get it replaced; im dealing with temporary illness that i cant get rid of without money; i live in the most dangerous neighborhood ever so ill need a deadlock on my door to even leave my room which costs money; and in order to open my own paypal to GET money i need an id and a bank account and opening a bank account!! also costs money!! so i cant get any money, and i cant do anything without money and the person im staying with REFUSES to work (she lives off renters right now but the renters are usually not super good people! or they steal! so thats why i need the lock i mentioned on MY OWN door lest someone come in and steal my laptop and then i dont have Anything). i cant say too much more about her but the situations awful and its going to end up killing me.

im at a financial roadblock because i was financially abused instead of being prepared for life so i have nothing, i have literally no way of getting out of here without help, and were facing foreclosure. and its summer and i have pets so i will literally die and watch them die on the streets!! i have no qualifications to get work because i dropped out as i was being abused both at school and at home and it was a choice between that or homelessness or just plain death.

no one will hire me while im sick like this anyway because its extremely contagious (and it can be transmitted to animals too so ive probably given it to my pets already, which is REALLY bad because it can mess up your immune system if it gets too bad and its really really bad for me so if it goes to them they could die from it) and to top it all off i might have cancer INCREDIBLE so i at least need gas money to go get a damn cancer screening (thanks life!!!!!) let alone afford whatever else if i do have it (will probably make a gofundme or something if that happens because this is already so so much)

i want to do commissions when i can set up a paypal but i cant even do that right now i cant do ANYTHING right now and im sorry i just really really dont wanna die here when i havent even Lived yet so, if you can please send whatever you can to my homeowners paypal: [email protected]

opening the bank account is literally $1 so even THAT will help but getting my id back is around $20 and we dont. have that. plus our car needs gas to get to the dmv and thats not money we have either! if i can just do these three things id be able to start doing commissions so the illness wouldnt be too much of a roadblock to work but it still really sucks to be sick and to have my pets put in danger by it. so id be really grateful if you can donate Literally Any Amount even just .50 Cents.

In 1999 a 16 year old trans girl was sold a ticket to Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival and was berated and attacked by terfs. The young trans girl was forced to stand in front of a crowd of terfs as they all chanted “rapist” at her for hours. This kind of shit hurts lgbt viewers ffs.

also whoever the hell made the trailer knew exactly what they were doing when they put the kiss in the trailer. I can think of two reasons why they did:

to attract loyal lgbt viewers after seeing the success of other shows with f/f relationships

to attract male viewers who think girls kissing is “hot”
