I don’t always jump on memes, but when I do, it’s way past the point of relevance.
Been working on my Orks for the season. I’m hoping to finish my BiltzBowl team by the end of the month. It’s been slow going as I mostly only work for a couple hours on mondays on stream while I watch public domain horror films. But so far I have all the BB models assembled and based, as well as two Grots, two boys, and a Komando Slasha boy just so I have a variety and I don’t get bored painting the same thing and more practice painting green skin.
I still need to prime the models but the weather has been good so hopefully I can do that tonight and next Monday I can start painting! I’d love it if you could join me. So far we watched, The Last Man, and Night of the Living Dead. Let me know your favorite public domain horror film and maybe we’ll watch it on stream!
Been trying to figure out how to draw a dog character in my “critter style” for a while now. Finally got something I like and when I look at it all I can see is all the borrowed influences from other artists, and I don’t even know if I can even call it my style anymore. It feels stolen.
I got to go on a little trip to the Jersey area and threw up a couple stickers of my OCs.
Gonna stream my initial reactions tomorrow around 2:00pm CST. Probably won’t cry, but no promises. Swing by if you can.
With the remake out and its explosive reception, I can’t help but to feel a mixed bag of emotions. In one hand, it’s great that the series is reaching so many eyes and being celebrated, (as it deserves.) But at the same time, from what I’ve seen, it looks like a derivative remake without any of the innovation the series is known for. In addition it comes with the knowledge that many of artists who laid the foundation were treated as disposable, much like The Boss herself.
I am a big fan of the series, and I love the renaissance it is experiencing. And while I was a huge Hideo stan, I have grown past the hero-worship tendencies I had. I know he said he won’t be playing, and a lot of fans have taken that to mean they shouldn’t play it either. I am not going to subscribe to that. While I have not been as excited to play it as I once was in 2003, where I would watch the grainy leaked trailer daily, I would like to be an active participant in the rally and excitement of this beloved game.
I don’t know if I ever felt more excited for a game than I did for the original Snake Eater. I was not embellishing when I said I watch the original trailer over and over again. I remember pausing during the scene of Snake firing a machine gun while standing in river surrounded by a burning mangrove trees, squinting my eyes trying to confirm I saw what brain told me I saw. I turned to my older brother who introduced me to the games after I showed some interest in Sons of Liberty (making sure I played them in chronological order,) and said, “I think you’re playing as Big Boss in this one!” A couple weeks later, a relative stayed with us to visit. They were telling us how they just got done with a job working on a video game and wondered if we had ever heard of it. Much to my embarrassment now, I literally jumped out of my seat. Since then, I’ve filled with so much pride when the credits would roll and I’d wait to see their name scroll by.
I wonder if when I beat the game this time, if I’ll see their name again.
TLDR: Old head bitching about mgs3 remake
Posting more of the requests I doodled on my most recent stream. Heres a lizard I did for a reddit user.
ANother OC I did from a recent doodle request stream I did over on twitch
I had a stream recently where I fulfilled requests from r/drawforme. This was one of my favorite one, and makes me long for spooky season. Would yall be interested in a request stream too?

I did relief based illustration of a Trench Pilgrim from that one game. I’m mulling over the idea of carving up a lino block with the same design. Could look pretty good.
Listened to some QuintonReviews while modeling on blender
Been playing Cult of the Lamb on Twitch. I wouldn't mind adding a coupple people cultist OCs to my in stream monitor.
Consider this my “meet the artist” post.
