These are the dresses I went with for Dahlia's official design. Honestly, I thought a lot of her OTHER DRESSES were much prettier (I was partial to the light blue dress; first row, middle of the first link), but the goal was to show the dresses that she would wear. That is to say; the dresses that her parents picked out for her. Ergo, the pinkest, softest ones, to try to hide her tomboyish personality under the pink and frill while her parents try to set her up with Prince Fredrick.  So in reading-style order: Three princess dresses, her night-gown, and the clothes she would wear for herself if given half a chance.

My dreams sometimes get super creative without my permission. So these are some of the things that I very distinctly remember from my dreams over the years - whether they were pretty or not, I tried to draw them if I remembered them clearly enough. I'd like to start doing more of the environments too, since the scenes I see often are the quintessence of the dream. 

I kinda wish Tumblr wouldn't gigantify these. Do you guys know how to make them post to their regular size?

Soooooo Princess Dahlia Del Mar isn't actually a very girlie girl. Honestly, she started out as my non-princess princess. She doesn't want to marry a prince. She doesn't like dresses.  Unfortunately for her, I do. I started experimenting with colors, and now I can't decide which one I like the best. Don't make me choose. This is my first set of Dresses For Dahlia Del Mar. More are coming up.

Who knows what the illustrious Emperor Zold Seraphim needs a mermaid for? Regardless, these two meatheads managed to capture the mermaid and drag it back onto shore. It won't be long before they throw her onto the back of a cart and drag her back to the Capital of Sortiera, never questioning their orders.

I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly.  :( Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy!  You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through.  You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way!  Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!! Love your art, love yourself!

Character concept for the mother of Fredrick, Elven queen of a human nation. She doesn't have a giant role decided for her yet, but I kinda just wanted to draw something that might be considered 'elven' and see how it goes. Elven attire is not my strong suit, especially if it's supposed to be regal.

This lovely lady is Princess Rose Seraphim, daughter of the Exalted Emperor Zold Seraphim. As her Father has put a monopoly on the Fountain of Youth, her actual age is most likely somewhere between 20-30, but she will forever look as young as she was the day her Father became emperor, at around 13. She's not outright malicious, but she is incredibly, incredibly selfish. Even if she doesn't grow up physically, will she ever grow up mentally? I'm really not sure yet! For now, she's contented to be her father's prized bird in a gilded cage, safe from harm, safe from the ugliness of the world. The only two people she knows are Jack and Jimson, and they're more servants than friends. Because who needs friends when you can have servants?  Anywho, because she CAN have whatever the heck she wants, this isn't a "Which one is best?" This is a "She has all of them and wears them as she sees fit". Also as an aside, I used my own "base" for this - this is her. I may have put a couple of different dresses on her but her body type is designed just for her. I didn't use any body else's base. Everything in this picture is 100% me.

Was digging through my old work folder and came across these roughs from last summer. They were originally going to be shown at a theme-park gallery run by a company that rhymes with “Bisney”. Needless to say, there was some weirdness with contract stuff and the project fell through. Thought it would be fun to share these anyhow!
