@julescrisare
That's downright terrifying tbh
I’m thinking this is a sign you shouldn’t have the Amazon Echo in the office to begin with but that’s just me
And people called me paranoid because I didn't want one in the house and ask my sister to mute (stick it in the garage) when I'm there.
I get mocked for it, but I'll be doing the I told you so dance when a transcript of a conversation from 4 years ago comes back to haunt them.

Now I need to do this for a wall.... but with the spines of Romance books!
An excerpt from Broken Retribution
The female bent in half on the side of the road stood up and Canyon nearly stumbled over absolutely nothing. It didn’t take the most observant of idiots to realize the female standing there could probably kick every ass clear across the country and back again. But that wasn’t what almost knocked him off his feet. The female was a mother-fucking Alpha and his wolf was more than curious about her presence. More interested than he’d ever been in any female.
It was rare enough for a female to be an Alpha instead of just dominant. But to be away from the protection of a pack? That was fucking unheard of.
The last thing his wolf wanted was for her to take flight. Not that Canyon wanted her to flee, either, but their reasoning wasn’t the same. Canyon wanted her to stick around because her appearance had been a little too convenient. His wolf wanted her to stick around for completely different reasons.
“I’m fine. But thanks for stopping.”
Okay, so Canyon’s motivations for keeping her around might have shifted closer to why his wolf wanted to keep her around. Her voice was this scratchy combination of a growl and a purr and went straight to his cock.
She was older than he first thought. Probably over thirty. She was all muscle, too. Lean with barely any of the soft curves found on most females. But what was there suggested that her body, once uncovered, would be amazing. And fuck him twice if her legs didn’t go on forever. She was maybe 5’8” or 5’9”, and her legs made up 90% of her height. The ends of her blond hair brushed her jaw as she pushed it behind her ears. And her green eyes practically fucking glowed as she watched his approach. Her wolf must have been watching, too.
Whoever she was, the female was fucking gorgeous, but appeared to be completely oblivious to the fact, since he didn’t detect any makeup. Or maybe she just didn’t give a fuck. Or maybe she was a fucking serial killer and had other things she needed to worry about.
Suddenly the idea of Fire Ant shifters seems feasible...
And of course, I also have to own or run a bakery or coffee shop. :) And he'd have to secretly be a shifter.
Ugh. Yeah. My bf and I are actually turning our RP in a book series starting with Charmed by the Nixie. Everything in those books is 100% our own OCs, they aren't part of any existing world so it's just been taking us a while to sort through it all.
OMG, what is it with showers and writing? Whenever I get blocked, I jump in the shower and usually manage to dig my way out of massive plot hole I've fallen into.
Wolf's Retribution is coming soon! And here's the cover!
Not just coming soon... it's coming soon in January 2023, along with the second book Wolf's Revenge!
For those who don't know...
I'm a Green Bay Packer fan. So, of course I was watching the game tonight and of course I was yelling at my screen and bemoaning the state of our defense. But I watched to the very end.
Not because I thought there could be some amazing come back, but because I love watching the end when the players meet in the middle of the field.
I love watching the players hug and smile and laugh. They put everything aside to play the game and compete and then pull it all back into place once the games over. They are friends, and in some case family. They care for one another and are genuinely happy to see each other.
I'd be thrilled if the networks just left the tape rolling on those meetings. The happy smiles, the backs patted, the hugs, the whispered words of support and comfort, and the shouted words of congratulations.
Now the NFL has its fair share of problems, and I'm not ignoring those, but for those few minutes we can point to the actions of the players as something we should all try to achieve.
Congratulate our competitors when they do well, support them when they stumble, and take any opportunity to share a moment together just because ultimately, we're friends.
Especially the characters who are making my barely there outline impossible to follow!
I think I had more fun designing this special edition than writing the books that make up the omnibus...
So much fun that I ended up redesigning the interior layout of the paperback versions of the individual books instead of doing minor updates like I had originally planned.
I even added a bonus section!
No wonder I only managed to get a few hundred new words written today, I've been too busy playing with my print interiors.
