Here’s how to pull yourself out of despair and live your life
A really great article about dealing with the long term emotional issues that are resulting from the pandemic. It talks about not going as hard on yourself, self discovery, and allowing yourself to grieve the “ambiguous losses” associated with the pandemic.
I’ve definitely been feeling this stuff and didn’t really know how to explain it or deal with it so this is really good to read.
just checking in with you! how’s that head upon your shoulders? how’s that beating heart beneath your chest? how about your lungs that rise + fall? haven’t stopped to notice + appreciate those things in a while? take a moment, just a moment...i promise, it won’t be long. close those eyes of yours, let them fall gently, no matter how much tension or pain has been behind them lately. let’s take a delicious inhale. feel that current of air. continual. always here for you. and then revel in that even more scrumptious exhale. savor the release. try to feel it all the way down to your toes. do you feel any better? if not, try it again. it’s forever in you. what a gift! now place a hand on that heart of yours. pulse. rhythm. cadence. lilt. what symphony it makes. marvel at that. isn’t it wonderful that this is within you too? you are breathing, living, being. and how lovely it is to watch you do it! you’ve got this. i’m here alongside you!
