What I absolutely love about this chase scene is the build up of it.  Like, here’s Cap - the absolute MAD MAN - stopping at nothing to get to where he figures he needs to go from a glance of the shooter.  Right angles?  Son, don’t.  Every door in the building?  NOT TODAY!  Your meeting notes from last Friday?  FUCK OFF WITH YOUR FILING SYSTEM, BRENDA.  It builds and it builds and Steve’s a goddamn superhuman anger machine and just when you thought

BAM.  Stopped in his tracks.  The camera keeps panning, carrying that momentum forward, straight into the eyes of the motherfucker who not only was able, but dared to stop Steve Rogers.  And did so with apparent ease. 

I’ve said it before (and other people have said it better) this film does an excellent job of establishing our heroes as being so capable it’s awe-inspiring for just this moment.

Because this?  This is the oh shit moment.  This is the moment we learn there’s scarier things than Steve afoot in the night.  That the badass fucker that blew Fury’s car out from under him is worth paying attention to.
