Twitch user status
This project was for a freeCodeCamp challenge. The goal was to create a way for users to see if a particular Twitch streamer was online. I used HTML, CSS and Javascript. I used the Twitch API for data.
Pomodoro Timer
This project was for a freeCodeCamp challenge. My goal was to create a productivity clock or “Pomodoro.” The clock operates by first having the user specify a work or “session” length as well as a break length. The user works for the specified time while the timer counts down until they reach the break period. Once their break is over the user restarts the timer to keep working another Pomodoro. The clock was built using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Minimal Local Weather App
This was made for a freeCodeCamp Zipline. The goal was to create an app that accessed API data from a weather API (in this case Wunderground) to display local conditions to the user.
For this challenge, I decided to make the ultimate minimalist weather app. Currently the app displays: user’s current location, user’s current time, user’s current weather conditions based on their latitude and longitude, the high and low temperature of the day for the user’s location, humidity for the user’s location, wind conditions in the user’s current location, rain conditions in the user’s current location and the amount of daylight the user will experience (sunrise-sunset). In the future I would like to expand upon this app to make it more custom for the user (i.e. different ordering, excluding sections, etc) as well as the inclusion of condition-specific background images.
Michael Scott Quote Generator
I made this project as a part of freeCodeCamp. The goal was to randomly generate a quote from an array using JavaScript.
Responsive Portfolio with Bootstrap
This was made for a freeCodeCamp Zipline. The goal was to create a single-page portfolio for myself using Bootstrap. This site scales appropriately between phone, tablet, laptop and desktop. The site features an intro section, an about me section, a projects section, a client section and a contact me section.
