The drug is not the point. The point is the frantic, mechanical need to fill the space where the meaning used to be. One does not arrive at a needle or a pipe through a lack of will; one arrives there because the will has been exhausted by the sheer effort of staying upright in a world that feels increasingly like a stage set after the actors have gone home.
When I'm having a bad day I like to imagine myself as the main character of a fantasy novel and main characters always go through a shit load of tragedy but still manage to stay hot and it makes me feel a lot better.
People talk about abusers who never say ‘i love you’ but i wish they talked more about the ones that do. The ones that hurt you over and over and leave you ruined and confused because afterwards they tell you how much they love you and how important you are to them. That way you’ll always doubt wether what they did was truly wrong. You’ll never understand what ‘i love you’ means, you’ll always associate it with something painful. ‘I love you’ will lose all meaning. It’s so fucking painful to hear it said by the person who caused you so much pain
It’s because you’re always on that damn journey of self-discovery.
i go to bed. i am consumed by overwhelming loneliness. i stare at the ceiling. i long for something i can’t name. i question if i’m real. i see a funny little meme on my phone and laugh hysterically for several minutes. i get too invested in an unrealistic fantasy. i pass out around three.
Actually upon further inspection that shit really hurted my feelings
the generational divide marches on. i have never jerked off to playboy bunnies. and i will never jerk off to roblox porn
coming out of my cage and i been doing just bad. going back in my cage because i like my cage
i mean this completely seriously but… a cup of coffee can save your life a little, a shower can save your life a little, making your favorite meal can save your life a little…….little things actually add up to really big things in the long run if you let them, the secret to surviving everyday is infusing a little bit of magic into the mundane i truly believe that
tumblr is like a pseudo afterlife because everyone on here was supposed to kill themselves a long time ago
genuinely insane how difficult it is to participate in your own life
Currently, I sleep with a 15 lb blanket. It no longer feels particularly heavy. If I continue to pile more weighted blankets on top of it, I can get strong as fuck in my sleep. Eventually I’ll look like Goku just from sleeping
This is my autism workout plan
Religious people, whether they're christians, muslims or anything else, need to understand that there is literally no rule that forbids other people to make fun of their beliefs. No moral rule, no social rule, no legal rule. Mocking or criticizing a religion isn’t a hate crime, and nothing forces us to "respect" your myths and values. It doesn't mean we should bully people for believing in a god, but I'm free to make jokes about Jesus returning for the apocalypse as a seven-horned lamb if I feel like it
The worst part about life is that sometimes friendships just end. It’s not their fault. It’s not yours. Or maybe it’s both of your faults but it doesn’t matter because they loved you yesterday and don’t anymore and there is nothing you can do about it. You haven’t talked to them in months, it’s no longer your place to ask them about it their life and you can’t help but hesitate in inviting them to your house. As time passes you realise that you don’t have a right to their life anymore and that doesn’t hurt as much as it should anymore so maybe you’ve forgotten them too. But you haven’t. And you never will. And it kills you that they have
Here’s the thing about us, last time I saw you we were two people whom’s future was possibly forever intertwined, or at least that’s what we hoped for. Now we are exes, less than strangers. Idk what you feel anymore and I’m not allowed to ask, in fact there’s this invisible rule that states I’m not allowed to feel anything towards you at all. We aren’t allowed to discuss any type of negative feelings in order to supposedly respect each of us moving on. And because moving on requires taking some time away from each other, we can’t even talk anymore. What am I supposed to do with such a clean ending, like idk what to do with all the pent up emotional turmoil and irrational sentiments. This is supposed to be a “healthy” breakup but it just makes me want to scream and cry at you. I wonder how you can live this civil and no hassle type life without wanting to die.
Boundaries are not about changing other people’s toxic behavior, but changing your tolerance of other people’s toxic behavior.
For a long time, I thought that setting a boundary meant communicating what I needed and waiting for the people I loved to accept and honor it. But a lot of people won’t do that—especially the ones you most need boundaries with.
Yes, your first task is to communicate what you need and give them a chance to adjust. But if they don’t, or can’t do it consistently, there’s a point when you need to stop waiting for them, excusing them, and gaslighting yourself just to keep them in your life.
Someone who can’t respect your boundaries does not have to be “bad” or a lost cause—they can be well-intentioned, loving, and completely valid in their needs. Still, if meeting their needs requires you to consistently abandon yours, you will stop living your own life and start living theirs.
It can be painful to break away or step back from people you deeply love, especially if they’re trying to get better, but you are not responsible for their growth at the expense of your own. And your growth is the only thing that will lead you out of the pain of staying in relationships that make you feel unsafe, unseen, or unloved.
You deserve to feel safe AND seen AND loved. You don't have to pick and choose! But you do have to choose yourself first.
