لا يألفن أحدكم مصاب أخيه وإن طال
One must not become desensitized to the hardships of his brother even if it prolongs
ولا يغفلن بالدعاء له متى بقي البلاء أو زال
And should not be heedless of making du'a for him; whether the affliction persists or vanishes.
Rabbighfirli - My Lord, forgive me
Warhamni - Have mercy on me
Wajburni - Cover my shame
Warfa'ni - Raise my rank
Warzuqni - Give me sustenance
Wahdini - Give me guidance
Wa'afini - Make me healthy
Wa'fu'anni - pardon me

Fudayl ibn 'Iyād (رحمه الله) said:
"When Allāh loves a servant, He tests him repeatedly; and when Allāh dislikes a servant, He expands the world for him."
[al-Risālah al-Qushayriyyah, p. 114]
Everything has hikmah behind it. Sometimes the things that break us, delay us, or confuse us are actually part of Allah’s protection, guidance, or preparation for something better. We may not understand it now, but Allah sees the full picture while we only see a small part of it. That’s why we trust Him — because even painful things can carry hidden mercy.
حين تزرع بذرة حبّ، أنت أوّل من يُزهر.
When you plant a seed of love, it is you that blossoms
Shaykh ul-Islam ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy on him] said:
“The people of certainty (yaqeen) when they are tested; they remain firm. Unlike others, whom when tested may permit it (the test) to follow the resignation of his faith or (to allow) it to diminish.’’
[Majmu al-Fatawa, 3/330]

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-‘Uthaymeen (رحمه الله) said:
make yourself always inclined toward optimism, and whatever Allah wills will be but be cheerful and joyful, for the world before you is vast, and the path is open, and always remain optimistic, and always be open-hearted, for this is what is good.
شرح رياض الصالحين ٤ / ٨٧
evil will pretend to be good but good won't pretend to be evil. so any time you see evil, believe it.
