Three things can save a person: 

١. Fear of Allāh in private and in public.

٢. Fairness in happiness and in anger.

٣. Generosity in both poverty and in wealth.

And three things can destroy a person:

١. Desires that are followed.

٢. Greed that is obeyed.

٣. A person being amazed and pleased with themselves.

How unfortunate is the son of Adam.

If he feared the fire of Jahannam the way he fears poverty, he would be saved from both.

If he desired Paradise the way he desires the Dunya, he would succeed in both.

And if he feared Allah in private the way he fears the creation in public, he would attain complete happiness and tranquility in both worlds.

we always desire two things, removal of worries in dunya and removal of sins in the Akhirah so we can attain the best. And both can be achived by a simple dhikr that we neglect tremendously: sending salawaat upon the Prophet ﷺ

اللهم صل وسلم على نبينا محمد
