Ohh I love it, I was hoping that her hair was grey or purple colored, it's so pretty!! I love her braid, she looks kind of stoic and so badass. Her story seems interesting too, after reading that she lived in the wilderness?... Also I'm sorry if I keep making questions, but I need to know what the beef is with Caroline hahaha

Not at all, I’m so happy to have a fellow farmer x Harvey shipper to talk to (especially one I’ve been following for a minute)!

Her beef with Caroline is that Keres thinks she’s a little harsh with Abigail. Once, Caroline asked Keres if she thought Abigail would look better with her ‘natural’ light brown hair instead of purple.

Caroline complained about her daughter’s purple hair to a middle-aged woman who also has purple hair. 🤦

Keres’ backstory is loosely based on the woman from Centaurworld, so I’ll put potential spoilers under a Read More.

Instead of inheriting the farm from her grandfather like a lot of the younger farmers, Keres inherited Sunrise Farm directly from her father.

She used to be married to a man named Evander, but their relationship soured over the years, ending in a nasty divorce that drove Keres to live in isolation for a while.

Turns out total solitude wasn’t a sustainable life for her either, so in her darkest hour, Keres opened the envelope and moved to Stardew Valley.

While I have Dead Weight and obviously Doctor for him alone. And unrelated, but some Lemon Demon songs too. I can't explain it but it just hits the nerdy vibes for him so good.

I hate cancel culture and witch hunts, the whole thing is bullshit made for people that want to feel morally superior to strangers online and makes growth almost impossible because these people don't want you to learn, they want to bully and humilliate you with a "noble" excuse but really they don't care at all over the thing they are making a show in the first place, witch hunts never worked, they are stupid, useless and destructive

I'm of two minds on this.

On the one hand, I don't believe going to a creator's blog and sending them death threats, insults, or anything of the sort is productive. It's nasty and much easier to do while hiding behind an anonymous profile.

On the other hand, I've seen this kind of rhetoric used to excuse racism in fandom (other forms of bigotry too but I've seen a LOT of racism lately), and that's not okay either. People will treat a reblog or ask saying "hey, this thing you did is racist, please learn and do better" as harassment or 'cancel culture' as a way to avoid accountability and make themselves out to be the victim, while throwing already marginalized fans under the bus.

I'm not saying this ask is directly doing that, but the wording and vagueness of it is throwing me off a little, so I wanted to add a bit of nuance for the reblogs. I think it would help if anon was more specific about the types of situations they are condemning.

Overall, my approach would be "conversations over arguments when possible, pick your arguments wisely, block and move on when necessary".

i get so emotional every time i think about fanfic culture. it's just so beautiful that people are writing and anonymously posting these thousand-word stories about characters we all love and not even getting any money or public fame from it. it's literally just for the love of the game.

sometimes i think about how fucking hardcore the nowhere king was. you know like from funny centaurworld. i liked the show well enough but it just hit you in the face at the end. like. "btw you cannot suppress the part of yourself you hate forever and you only create your own monster in trying to deny who you are. love wasnt enough. you destroyed lives for this. she hates you."

I think it works because it’s similar to life. You can look at Centaurworld purely through the dramatic grim parts or as a whole similar to life.

7 years, a devil in his ear, trying to sway him to a path of darkness, surely. And yet he chose the path of heroism. And you- and you- and you're calling him a fraud? Wyll Ravengard is NOT a fraud. Lorroakan? Fraud. Wyll Ravengard is not a fraud! Not only - not only does he save Baldur's Gate 7 years ago - when he was a teenager, ok?
