wanting to preserve things for future civilizations.  i get emotional over cave paintings for exactly that reason: because these are people, tired and hungry and thirsty and scared people, reaching over thousands of years, grabbing for our attention because “look, i saw this, i was here, don’t forget me”.  they knew that there would be a future, and they wanted to be a part of that… sorry i have to go cry now

Build an underground burrow. you got 24 hours with just you an your little claws and hands. There’s no better method of social distancing like being deep beneath the earth!

Learn woodworking. Start with simple birdhouses, and eventually work your way up to a full sized guillotine

Nows a perfect time to let the moss growinh on your body flourish! Treat it well

Fix your sleep schedule. Many of us aren’t leaving our houses, so it’s a great time to slumber in your swamp for 1000s of years

Current progress on my first soft mount! This lovely ‘yote is still to be named, but I am pretty proud of how he’s turned out. He’s drying up right now, which will take about a week, then I’ll stuff him with his fluff and do the finish work. I’m not sure how his ears will turn out, one of them gave me a bit of difficulty in particular just because of some scar tissue (I’m assuming he had a tick issue at one point) but here’s to hoping he dries up nice!  Yes, that is a lot of pins but I am paranoid

Bones?

Bones.

I’ve been looking through the Vulture Culture community and seeing everyone’s big, beautiful skulls, and I’m just here with my bag of small bones collected from owl pellets.

Even if they aren’t whole, aren’t as big, or aren’t super pretty, I still love them and they hold a special place in my heart.

I was one of the few campers who actually liked dissecting the pellets, and I loved it even more when I got some of the bigger bones. I also think I was the only one who got a skull the first time.

They are all rodent skulls I believe. The one with yellow-orange teeth is my favorite I think.

These are not all of my bones, but there are some really small ones in the bag that I don’t want to lose (teeth, vertebrae, etc.)
