uh. so, when hybe will say manon's not part of katseye? because the justice and 3 of wands next to each other hints me at something i've seen....
the nda i've been seeing since last year aside. here's the problem. hxg soon or later must announce her departure, and they really don't know how. the release will look like in a way that katseye is remaining 5-member girl group.
why this is a issue? i'll explain.
most of eyekons bias manon, or like katseye because of manon and when they'll learn she won't be in katseye from now on, the group will lose fans which leads to the issue how katseye will hold their current reputation.
consequently, given that the focus is mainly on manon’s pseudo-hiatus, it’s hard to see animal’s success.
will there be a buzz? yes.
will there be streams, recognition, videos on social media, radio/tv airplay and so on? yes.
but will it be liked? not really.
will it be played constantly? yes, but not because the song is worthwhile or catchy (not saying it won't be either), but because hxg are paying anyone possible to have the song played everywhere.
until hxg announce that manon has left katseye, they’ll be left with hollow victories regarding the group’s discography, because this is anything but genuine success.
hxg need to leave manon alone to go her own way, as she has obviously decided, because hxg's indecision and wavering are making it many times more difficult.

by then (or at the latest a week after the ep’s release), it should already have been announced that katseye will continue as a five-member girl group. the problem is once manon’s departure is announced, lots of fans will leave, no matter what. eyekons won’t be the same, and i’ve noticed a change in their fans’ attitude precisely because there’s been a change in the line-up. perhaps the only one who’ll really be tolerated (or liked/loved) will turn out to be yoonchae, whilst everyone else will probably be seen as ‘sinners’.
despite these issues, their popularity will remain at a decent level (or they'll maintain their peak for now), as their streams and the girls’ being popular will still be there, but eyekons’ll largely be limited to casual fans. the amount of their fans will drop sharply (if there are for example 5 million, only a million and a half will remain), and even communication with them will be extremely superficial. i foresee potential resentment towards all members except yoonchae, and if there are any eyekons left, they’ll either bias her or become solo stans. i wouldn’t rule out the possibility of creating the illusion that they haven’t lost fans with hybe stans covering up the situation.
the applause will remain, but nothing will be the same. hybe and geffen have no choice but to leave manon alone.

she has a huge ego she needs to lose if she wants to make it far. shes good but so are others. shell fix this problem i think because shes ambitious and wants to work and has the spark for it that people like but she needs to fix the ego quickly because people love to build something up just to knock it down
