@korakos Just so you know, your trilogy has been the easiest addition to my short list of favorite books that I will definetly fawn over and reread multiple times. I have no words.

I lied I have a few

It could be the way I held my breath every time Neil opened himself a bit more to the team.

It could be how proud I was at Andrews eventual relaxation around Neil and even the rest of the team.

It could be that you got me so invested in a sport that doesn’t even exist. That I would retreat to a quiet place in the house for each game. Getting emotionally worked up over the proceedings to the point my dad asked why I was yelling with no small measure of concern in his voice

It could be that I was so desperate for the foxes to find some measure of peace that I rushed through the books in a day and a half and am sorely tempted to start over again immediately even though it’s three thirty in the morning.

These books are.... they’re more than I can say. I feel cheated that it’s over, but fully understand the decision to end it. All good things must come to an end, even if I want to hunt these poor souls down like a crazed fan.

More than anything, thank you.

I admit I wasn’t there for the journey, but from what I gather these stories were years in the making. I can not even begin to convey my gratitude that you stuck with them.

As a fellow writer I fully understand the struggle, that understanding shown mainly in how I’ve never finished anything. You had the strength to though, and what you’ve gifted us with is amazing.

I still don’t feel I’ve properly explained my thoughts, but I’ve rambled long enough.

The Foxes may be done, but I’ll always be happy to read anything else you put out if you ever decide to.

A monster watching someone through the windows on a dark and moonless night. They break in to make friends and in he resulting panic they kill the object of their mild affection. Played out darkly humorous instead of the true dark that usually comes with a life lost in the hands of a monster. The monster isn’t smart enough to realize that is not how you greet someone.

Ok this will have to be a bit fast (or noooot) because I have a lot of things to attend to but I spent the afternoon trying to sort my thoughts in order to do a medium-quality post with minimum spoilers and ended up forgetting everything.

so I won’t actually be searching for a lot of stills besides the ones I have stored and some links will be back to my blog for convenience and speed, and please apologize the inevitable typos.

Reasons to watch Hannibal (and why you get nearly 200 notes of incentive and pretty gifs):

- the actors - the beautifully played characters - beautifully interesting and inspiring story - a very interesting evolution of characters - highly intelligent show. You are NOT prepared to know where the show will take you in all levels - beauty - one of the most intelligent relationships you’ll ever see - one of the most intelligent, complex and non-sexual/beyond-sexual romances you’ll ever see - Mads fucking Mikkelsen - Hugh fucking Dancy

- guest stars like Gillian Anderson Eddie Izzard Richard Armintage ok it’s better just to see this - purposefully genderbent characters to increase female energy on an almost all-male original story

- very balanced number of fmale/male casualities - violence against female characters is purposefully not sexual (which is worth note) - the wonderful cast and crew they are awesome 

- memorable quotes

- beauty - the feeeeeels

- Hannibal is art in a sense you just cannot find in other shows right now (if ever) - the aesthetics - the symbolism - the interpretation - visually haunting and memorable tableaus

- nightmare inducing stuff (though actually Hannibal helps me dream) - puppies

- Frederick Chilton

- team sassy science (specially these two - sorry Bev you’re awesome too)

- one of the most punchable characters ever

^^^^^^ - Hannibal’s face - seriously, Hannibal’s face (s2e8) - have I mentioned this is the most relaxed cast  

- the cannibal puns!

- and the humour - seriously the humour. Hannibal is such a funny show

- Hannibal is actually a pitch black romantic comedy ahah  - did I mention the AESTHETICS and CINEMATOGRAPHY seriously you have no idea - fucking MIZUMONO sorry no images from the gazillion screencaps I have stored were able to be shared, only this reaction could manage  

- season 1 is very well made in my opinion, because it gradually and beautifully created the vision and aesthetics of the show and immerses the viewers in it. Because it appears more crime-investigation and therefor may be easier for newcomers to see, it also immediately shows it’s on a different level. And so you will slowly be sucked into this world and appreciate it - season 2 is even better - season 3 is this stunning nightmare-world that reflects a relationship and I can’t put it into words cause I’m not a poet 

- the crack of this show is awesome (this is just my selection) go see crackvideos - the fandom of this show is awesome - beautiful music videos like these ones Glitter and Gold https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RspfMI-rZpw by vordeel-ts.tumblr.com  and Dance with the Devil

There are a couple of things about current shipping culture that confuse me.  

1. The focus on whether or not a pairing will become canon as a reason people should ship something or not.  Do you not understand what the “transformative” part of “transformative works” means?”

2. This idea that saying “I ship that” means “I think that, as presented in canon,this is a perfect, healthy relationship that everyone should model their relationship after.” 

Sometimes shipping something does mean that.  Sometimes shipping something means “Person A is a trash bag who doesn’t deserve person B but I would love to explore how Person A might grow to deserve Person B.” Sometimes it means “I want these characters to live together forever in a conflict free domestic AU.”  Sometimes it means “I want Person A to forever pine after Person B.  Nothing is beautiful and everything hurts.”  And sometimes it just means you like their faces and want to see Person A and Person B bone in various configurations and universes.
