Hey, man, c'mere. Listen. Get in real close, this is important.
You're gonna make stuff again. You're gonna make stuff you're proud of. You're gonna make stuff you're excited to share. You're going to feel that overwhelming drive to create, not just the frantic I want to want to you're stuck in now. You're going to have awesome ideas, and you're going to make them into reality. You're going to create again. You're still an artist. You're still a writer. You're still home to the same passion you had before. You'll find it again. It's not gone. It's just resting. Let it rest. You're going to make stuff again. I promise.
So in session 1, we were fighting these spooky bone monsters, and necrotic damage seemed to heal them — and as someone who played hundreds of hours of final fantasy tactics as a kid, I came to the conclusion that healing magic must damage them. And behold!! Cure Wounds was in fact lethal!
Shark girl! Her name is Nerine. She woke up on a beach with nothing but a list of names engraved on a piece of armor and a song in her heart. Maybe she'll find how she got there!
WOMAN!!!!!!!!!! Her name is Vohna! She's an eladrin druid!!! Once we hit level three, she'll be taking the mutation subclass from Grimhollow.
She suffers from chronic illness and joint pain, and is aiming to use her study of wildshaping to reshape her own body -- and she wont be limiting herself to what the druids she grew up around would consider to be "natural."
Aeline is a fresh new sorcerer from a restrictive religious family. She's for a new gaaaaaaame it's called The Bone Orchard
I found it on startplaying.games and it's on Monday evenings est,, if anyone wants to explore what is shaping up to be an absolutely killer homebrew world with graveyards sprouting forests with bone trees and undead nonsense hmu for the link lol we need a few more players to start
D&D Party commission✨
This was an experimental piece and I had sooo much fun working on it!! I actually recorded the process, so I'll maybe post some of that 👀
Hoping this is easier to see!! Lil breakdown of my personal trends under the cut :)
Ok we have:
Right to left: Marimo Mothball, Eden Altaire, Blink the dog, Yancy Emberwrought and his daughter Esta, Lament Aeris, Oberon Ozymandias Vikare, Xander Harrow, Ben Cirrian, Joy the homunculus ferret, Serendipity Monroe, Biscuit the griffon, Raine, Kitty Delicious, a kitty canon, Cam Pfyre, Calliope Cromwell, and Sophia Hogswallow
3 bards, 3 sorcerers (4 if you counted Esta but she’s a little child she didn’t actually have a stat block), 2 artificers, 2 fighters, 1 cleric, 1 druid, and 1 wizard. I am a charisma build girlie by preference, even the ones that are bad at charisma stats are big talkers.
2 aasimar, 2 tabaxi, 2 genasi (Cam the salamander is fire genasi by stat block), 2 elves, 2 half-elves (counting Esta here, half-elf-half-genasi), 2 tieflings, and 1 human
3 of them reached level nine, and all three of those campaigns cut off before I got to use any level 5 magic.
3 (maybe 4 at a stretch) of these people are dealing with powerful magical curses. I love a magical curse, I’ll do it again.
2 of them have managed to roll over 30. Oberon in persuasion, Raine to hit something.
2 of them were swapped for new pcs partway through a campaign, for differing reasons. Nobody died tho!
Rineva 2.0! There’s a few details missing here and there, so there’s a non-zero chance I come back to this real soon lmao
The 2024 UA Hexblade is SO GOOD. It is SO GOOD. The new build truly incentivizes and enables you to keep Hex up for every encounter and it’s only gotten more and more fun playing him in the dragonlance game :3c
