I would like your guys' opinions on something that I've been struggling with. I know a lot of you really like my Nine Realms Rewrite, but the reason I started drifting away from it is this:

At what point does a rewrite stop being a rewrite?

What I mean by that is at what point does it just become its own thing? And would any of you really care about that?

I do kinda want to continue it, I'm just not sure if it's worth it anymore.

I'm just here to say "hi", know it's been a bit. I'm still struggling with my mental health but I am trying to work on things I can show you guys. And hopefully (hopefully) I'll be making some more progress on getting my YouTube channel up and running.

Is the nine realms rewrite still going to happen?

Maybe, but for right now my own version of a modern Dragons series is my focus. I'll probably focus on it again at some point, I just can't guarantee when.

I'm still alive. I'm just having some trouble with creating again.

As for my og HTYYD modern day story, I have some updates.

-I've named all the main characters and I'm now filling out their personalities and backgrounds

-I've decided to keep the name "Dragons:New World" from my second version of my tnr rewrite since I think it's suiting+ I'm keeping the name "Project Hel-Dive" for the facility/base, again, because I thinks it's suiting

I want to finish the main characters before I start designing their dragons, so it might be a while, but I'll try to keep you updated as well as I can

First of all, I would like to know what your definition of a "non-dragon" is so that I can give you a more accurate answer. Second of all, I will most likely make maps of certain parts of the hidden world. I'm not too sure about making a map of the whole thing since I imagine that it's pretty expensive

The results from my poll are in, and the consensus is "yes" for me to commit to making my own HTTYD story in a modern setting. So I'll give you what details for it that I've come up with so far.

-The whole thing takes place at a top security (like HUGE government secret) facility where their whole goal is to keep the hidden world of dragons a secret/study and understand the dragons

-This facility/base has existed for maybe a couple of decades, at most

-The main antagonist is the new head of this facility that wants to use the dragons for more nefarious reasons and mistreats the dragons in the process

-Our main characters are teenagers that have been scouted (and are now being tested) to be the next generation to keep the secret

-Our protagonist is a very introverted teen who doesn't understand people well, but has a very good understanding and strong empathy towards animals

That's all I have so far :p

will the fault ripper get another redesign?

Howdy! No, I will not be redesigning the Fault Ripper (or the Fault Crawler in my version) again. I'm very happy and content with its current look.

Cause, according to the third movie, the hidden world is the ancestral home of all dragons, and therefore it would make sense for it's inhabitants to look like they walked straight out of a dinosaur documentary or something.

so what do you plan on doing for the Sky Torcher and Jormungandr?

Howdy! Thanks for the question. I'm not sure yet. I'm honestly not even sure if I'm keeping those dragons in my rewrite/reimagining. I'm still working on getting my version of season one locked down, so only time will tell.
