She clung to him tightly "yeah im fine. " she burried her face in his shoulder. "Its just a bit chillier up here than normal "

''Warmer spot, gotcha.'' He chuckled, lowering in altitude so the air wouldn't be so cold. There was a slight moment of silence before he spoke up again, his tone light despite his curiosity. ''So, who exactly are you?'' was the blunt question he ended up blurting out.

She gave an uneasy smile "good thing I have wings" she joked climbing onto his back. Her face naturally rested against his, the brisk coldness of his skin felt good against her abnormally hot skin

A soft laugh at her reply, then hefting her up as he stood. ''Well then I guess we're all set~'' He chirped. ''Off we go!'' And so right on cue, a strong gust of wind whirled around the two, then hurling them into the sky before pushing them forward. Once they'd gained enough altitude, Jack slowed to a steady pace, and only then did he glance back at her, not minding the closeness at all. ''Still alright back there?'' He asked with a grin.

Eve shook her head “no its alright. Your right we need to go and I dont think I could move very fast” she gabe him a half smile. “Its okay” she repeated

His smile slowly returned to his lips as she reassured him, nodding before turning his back to her and lowering himself on one knee. ''Alright then, climb on.'' He turned his head to look at her over his shoulder, his smile stretching into a smirk. ''And hang on tight, I'm not used to having passengers.'' he joked to keep the mood light.

He blinked at her, noticing her hesitance to accept, and stood straight, an apologetic look immediately appearing on his features. ''Ah, I don't have to if you're not comfortable with that.'' He said as he waved his hands in front of him. ''I don't want to force you or anything.''

When you have the greatest idea for a fanfiction, and you’re really pumped to write down, you finally get the pen in your hand, and then it comes out like this:

“There was this person, and they were pretty cool.”

And then you just cry.

She nodded shaklily and slowly riseong to her feet. Her little black feathered wings fluttering this way and that to help her regain her balance. "Thanks" she smiled at him

Jack followed her pace as he helped her getting up despite her wings already being of help. ''Don't mention it.'' He replied, returning her smile with one of his own. 

''C'mon, let's go...'' he started, but then paused. He'd noticed how still shaken she was - anyone would be after such an attack from Pitch - and stopped, turning to look at her. ''Wait-- Actually, maybe it'd be best if I carried you.''

Eve stared blankly up at Jack "I.....I think im fine." She slowly sat up looking at the frozen sand. "That's the first time that Pitch has beaten me " she craddled her stomach

''And here I thought we'd gotten rid of that guy.'' the boy first muttered to himself, then turned his attention to the other, a hand raising to rest on her shoulder in a reassuring gesture. He was curious as to who this girl was - though she did seem familiar somehow -, and also the reason why Pitch was after her, but her safety was more important at the present time.

 ''Can you stand?'' He asked softly. ''We should get out of here, in case he decides to come back for round two.''

Eve stared at the stars, the long grass dancing around her in the breeze. Today was the 10th anniversary since she turned a cold shoulder to Pitch. Every other year he had come after her but this year he had switched up the routine. He attacked her on an off year. Now she laid on the ground, her hair which was normally neat and tidy was sprawled out around her as the black sand flowed around her body, working its way up her legs and arms trying to cover her. She laid there motionless What could she do? The sand stung her skin everywhere it touched. She was afraid to move.

What had begun as a soft breeze had quickly turned into a strong gust of wind, blowing away the sand that surrounded the girl who lay on the ground, but it would take more than that to stop the dark magic from making its way back to her body. Which is why, only seconds later, a second whirl of wind struck, a third one and so on as soft footsteps approached Eve.

When he finally reached her, Jack gave one final swing of his staff, mercilessly freezing in place the sand that was now far from them.

''Hey, you alright?'' He asked as he knelt down next to her, head hovering right over hers as he traded his serious expression for a concerned one.

"I can't believe this!" Maddy said, enthusiastically. "He can see me!" She jumped up and down, squealing in delight. "Please! Tell as many people as you can!"

With her excitement, she had completely forgotten the reason why she was here. She turned to Jack, who was sitting on the windowsill, and hugged him, a tear slipping from her eye. "Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me."

Jack was slightly taken aback by her sudden hug, taking a few seconds before he gladly returned the gesture, a content smile playing on his lips as he spoke. ''Ahh don't mention it, I'm just glad it all worked out.''

Meanwhile, Jamie returned his attention to his surroundings, still marveling in the beauty of the magic she'd filled the room in.

Jack snorted at the other’s reaction, cackling rather loudly. Yes, this was going to be loads of fun.”Geez, no need to get so defensive,” he chided, jumping into the air next to him. With an evil-looking smirk, Jack dared to tickle his twin on his side.

''Maybe I wouldn't have to be if you didn't-- HNG!!'' This time, Jacks' eyes flew wide open, his free hand clutching at his twins wrist - which in turn only made him flinch more - as he practically wheezed before a fit of laughter overtook him. ''K-Knock it o-off!'' He desperately tried to sound stern amid his laughter, but authority was the last thing his shaky voice gave off that the current moment, much to his dismay.
