This moths main predator is bats and so they have adapted very fluffy bodies to make ultrasonic waves bounce off of them, along with there tails being there to confuse predators.

The colors on the Sunset Moths wings are actually not pigment, it’s light bouncing off little scales that they have in their wings. This acts as a warning to predators that they are highly poisonous, which they get from a plant they eat when their caterpillars

The Tobacco Hornworm (or Hawk Moth depending on where you look)

This species of moth when they are caterpillars will eat tobacco leaves or plants that have pesticides with tobacco in them, and will separate the nicotine from the food, using the nicotine as defense against predators.

so apparently addiction is good for these guys.

Only the larvae of the clothes moth eat fabric, the adults are only there to reproduce, so if you would like to avoid your clothes being munched on, avoid putting your clothes in dark, humid places due to this species of moths not liking light.
