Guess who’s writing fic again.

The moment Jaal walks into the room, she feels it. And not in a cliche, trashy romance novel kind of way. She literally feels it. The air changes, and she detects a slight tingle underneath her skin, in the same way that a millisecond before it happens, your body can anticipate an electric shock from walking across a carpet and touching a metal doorknob. Carpet. Now, there was something she hadn’t thought about in six hundred years. She glances down at the squishy rubberized pad underneath her feet and wonders if carpets still exist back in the Milky Way. As he approaches her, the feeling beneath her skin intensifies, so subtly as to almost be indetectable. Almost. But she’s been around him enough by now that she’s used to this biological response. The swooping feeling in her stomach that accompanies it, however… well, that part’s straight out of the trashy romance novel. . . . Read it here on AO3.

Mass Effect Update

1) I fucking hate the battle style. I'm making Adam do most of the fighting. Shooters just aren't my thing. 2) The storyline feels meh so far. I wonder if this is kinda like DA: Origins where it gets better with game #2 and you don't appreciate the first one until you've played a bit more of the mythology? I dunno. Bleh. 3) Kaidan seems like a boring af romance and doesn't seem like he'll hold a candle to the DA love interests. But maybe he'll surprise me. I'll choose Liara next playthrough. Wish I could romance Garrus before the second game.
