dont get me wrong i am in love with jake sully but he deserves to sleep on a wet pillow also i will probably make a long post to rant about the movie
Jake is truly 3 for 3 when it comes to low key being a terrible father to his sons like Damm shits low key impressive it's a miracle how he's a slightly better girl dad then he is a boy Dad
I'm going to fucking crash out.
Even if Adam actually did tell a major council member which one how would he even come in contact with one and two considering atlas is the most racist kingdom even if he did tell a council member they More than likely wouldn't care.
Also victims of abuse have a tendency not to come forward about their horrific treatment in fear of not being believed. As well to further add it can be assumed Adam isn't the only faunus to be branded other probably tried to come forward but we're silenced or weren't acknowledged were talking about a major economic power corporation vs a racial minority in the most racist/classist setting.
There's nothing Adam could have done about his brand at all the only thing he could do was use it to further rally other faunus to his cause

Anon you and I have different definitions of a field day lolz.
Okay joking aside I am, flabbergasted by this persons comment here. How has this man aLwAyS been a dictator? He’s not even a dictator in volume 8 of wherein he makes some very very bad choices.
His back was against the wall, the immortal witch hellbent on ending the world rolled up with an army so large the people monitoring it thought it was a glitch. No I don’t like a lot of what he does in volume 8, but his actions regarding dealing with Salem and her army? The thing people point to, to call him a dictator? Not the actions of a dictator, but someone fighting an immortal witch hellbent on ending the world. Martial law aka state of emergency? If a massive Grimm army isn’t a state of emergency I don’t know what is. Moving civilians underground where no Grimm managed to get? Trying to evacuate as many people as possible with an exhausted army?
Not being a dictator. And people insisting he was a dictator the “entire” time is even more ridiculous. That statement means the main characters, the so called heroes were happy working with a dictator, and only had an issue with a dictator when he stopped doing what they wanted. That is not the serve the fndm thinks it is.
Also? Atlas isn’t the only kingdom to have had Faunus slaves. But atlas doesn’t currently have slaves that are legally being held as slaves. We can argue about what Blake meant about questionable labor practices exactly but we can guess but given her word choice it’s not proven the SDC is using said slave labor and without proof a non dictator government can’t do anything about it until they have proof. But all of Remnant at one point had Faunus slaves but no one is arguing Ozpin or Theodore are slave holders. Atlas doesn’t allow slaves, nothing in the text implies Atlas does, and insisting that it does to try and prove a ridiculous “he was a dictator always” claim is absolutely ludicrous.
No one can even point to any actions pre volume 8 that even remotely are that of a dictator, tired people after a long day of work? Been there done that that’s not a dictator thing that’s just having a job, showing off a robotic army to civilians? Sanctioned by the government and said army is being made the fight the endless hoard of soulless man eating monsters to try and keep people off of the battle field as much as possible. Bring an army to a worldwide event? One the Olympics has massive security so this is not a red flag, and two, in a world with said soulless man eating monsters attracted to negative emotions not having an army is the dumbest thing someone could do. And again, the local government asked him to bring his army.
James Ironwood is not a dictator and I really do not understand how so many people insist he is.
TIL that there is a blog on tumblr dedicated to defending a fictional military despot
Slavery everywhere in remnant was abolished at once 80 years ago. Adam is a whole another can of worms because it's clear according to Miles Adams brand Mark means nothing out side of Adam deserving which again is something Miles said out of his own mouth
I don't think going "but one of the writers said this child DESERVED to be branded and lose an eye" is like. A good take. Thanks for your input, though.
Never said it was a good thing just saying according to Miles there's nothing deep about Adam Brand it's not tied to any important storyline like fanus racism. You can't really use that on ironwood for any argument you could for the sdc

Does that mean Stella had a loving mother that was lobotomized and she saw her baby doll burn in a fire? Or maybe not Vivzie only means the bitch part and no depth
According to vizz Stella will get a backstory soon supposedly exploring why she's the way she is but so far Stella doesn't feel like she's inspired by Beatrice
“Andrephus has to hide that he’s gay by making comments about finding his sister hot”
but also Charlie, the Princess of Hell, second in power only to her father, Lucifer Morningstar himself, is in an openly sapphic relationship.
Also Asmodeus has stopped trying to hide his relationship with Fizz.
The only sign of homophobia has been from Katie Killjoy and no where else.
Vivziepop sucks at writing and 7th Grade me could’ve done better lmao
The only plausible explanation is that his family thinks being gay wouldn't be beneficial I mean this is the same family that pimped out their daughter to an upper class family
So apparently Stella is based on Beatrice from Bojack horseman yet acts nothing like her. Vizzpop States Beatrice is the inspiration for Stella but comparing the two characters together I would argue stolas has more in common with Beatrice than Stella.
Both come from privilege backgrounds highly dysfunctional backgrounds abusive and neglectful fathers stuck in a marriage primarily because of a child with partners they don't like. The only similarities Beatrice and Stella seem to have is their husband cheating. Stella every time she's onscreen she's a Saturday morning cartoon villain with incredible annoying and is portrayed as incompetent.
Beatrice was a complex character who pushed a cycle of abuse on to her son damaging him for life even towards the end of hers she wanted to fix but didn't know how she was sympathetic to warrant care and empathy Stella just reads as a bitch who was born evil.
In which a defense for Blake ends up making her worse.
So, I came across this post and holy fucking shit, this literally puts Blake in a worse light than it tried to be.
It's like that whole meme that RWBY is only antifa when the facists inconvenience them.
But it gets worse.
In the same defense, you literally brought up why Ruby shut her up. Blake's idea of comforting Ruby was to try and brush the issue under the rug for the time being, which was the exact same thing she tried to do during Ruby's breakdown.
Also, you seem to ignore the timing of when she tried to do this the second time. Ruby had just been victim blamed by Jaune and effectively had her entire agency be stolen by him fishing for sympathy over the very things that just a few minutes ago, they were roasting him for and would have wanted them to commit their Jonestown plan.
This also really encapsulates Blake as a cowardly cat. She always likes to run away from the situation or avoid confrontation until it comes to a point where she can't avoid it. And even then, she will try to avoid that when she can.
Look no further than when she ran to Menagerie. She flips and flops between not wanting to fight and wanting to fight, and it isn't until she realized the White Fang are literally stalking her house that she realized she has to take back the White Fang...
Only to just wait until they end up trying to merc her family and then she decides to make it all of Menagerie's problem by making them subservient to the most racist Kingdom in the world that ironically has a race traitor as a Headmaster.
And once that's done, she abandons all that (since that would just mean doing all the shit she did in V1 but without them being as bitchy as Weiss) just to go globetrotting. And despite the bravado she puts up against Adam about how he doesn't scare her no more, the moment she sees him again, it's right back to being scared shitless.
When I say Blake is complex, it's not a compliment.
Also when she meets Jacques for the first time she just glares mind you I believe this scene took place directly in the same episode when they were in the dust mines she never confronts him on his racism or how she treats her people but first time with Weiss she's open about it

One of the Many problems of RWBY that stands out in my opinion is what's canon? and how much is simply left in supplemental
What are Ruby and Yang Canon ages when summer went missing?
Has dust always been capable of healing? Is that actually canon because apparently the movies are canon adjacent.
Then there's the supplemental material like having a human only supremacy group magical artifacts with MAGIC in em
Neo backstory which is key to understanding her motives and relationship with Roman.
You forgot to include the writers too.
Pyrrha and Penny both were mourned... multiple times? Not sure why this is even a topic of discussion at this point.
Penny death thing being offscreen is dumb as fuck though.
Phyrra was more so mourned only really through jaune as most if not all phyrra related things are specifically tied to him Ruby the one who actually saw her die right in front of her and Ren and Nora don't really get that same amount of mourning for her in comparison to jaune
Ruby had a whole scene in V5 where she mourns both Pyrrha and Penny what are you talking about
Ren and Nora don't really do it cause they don't get much focus in general, IIRC they only do it twice
That was one scene that was in volume 5 two volumes after her death . When it comes to emotional effects of phyrra death that's on jaune he gets to actually more time to mourn and get closure. In comparison to jaune phyrra has little impact to Ruby
Ren and Nora were pushed to the side
Yeah, cause Jaune had the most intimate relationship with her. Pyrrha's death absolutely does have an impact on Ruby, not as much as it does on Jaune, but it's still there.
Ruby gets a scene in V4 where she watches Jaune using Pyrrha's training video to mourn, iirc she actually cries during that scene.
Ren and Nora have the statue scene in V6 as well as a short sequence at the end of V4, but other than that not much. Wanna know why?
They are side characters. They do not get as much focus as more important characters like Ruby and Jaune.
Ren and Nora were still her teammates who deserve to actually get to mouran her again you are proving my original point .
Two rwby crying is more so to do with jaune state then her hell ruby supposed trauma isn't even properly explored in that volume so no her death doesn't have a impact barley explored in v4 nightmares go no where
Three notice how ren and Nora don't actually get to properly mourn phrrya death still if they were just side characters completely remove them from the story all together you state phyrra death is mourned multiple times ONLY with jaune barley with ruby even then it's still more so to do with him then her then non existent with her reminding teammates which is chalked up to the fact that team jnpnr do not have enough inter personal team interactions with one another to develop relationships among themselves outside of the ships.
It's generally odd how cinder backstory better demonstrates the bigtory in atlas society and how people born in lower caste systems are treated than the Faunes discrimination storyline. One of the key storylines in the show her backstory is what Adam character short should've been
Are the Faunus safe?
In RWBY, the god of light said "If your kind has learned to live in harmony with one another and set aside their differences, then they will be allowed to live alongside us in the new world. But if they are still divided… then they will be lost to time, just like you." Specifically talking to Ozma in this scene. Since Ozma is Human and Faunus didn't EXIST in the first wave of Humanity, does that mean they technically don't apply here? Hell, I don't think the Gods even know the Faunus exist. Most likely they probably would still wipe them out too if the Humans were still Divided, but I still find it funny how the Faunus really do revolve around a shoddy racism plot and nothing more.
Honestly not even sure the writers never bothered to actually properly explain the existence of the Faunes . While I understand volume 6 had time constraints the fact that the writers never bothered to further elaborate later done the line about Faunes is a headache. But given how he says YOUR kind it can be assumed he's referring to humanity he never mentioned anything else but them .
The Faunes don't have any other reasoning to exists behind we wanna tackle racism but poorly
“you can’t compare rwby to arcane”
actually yes you can.
“at least my girls aren’t becoming cops”
not that it matters but they’re basically an international private militia for hire. not sure how that’s better.
"You can't compare X to Y, at least X isn't Y."
do they realize what they just did
Caitlyn and Vi are better than Yang so no comparison
The sad thing about Odin when it comes to his kids is that he can be better. Rewatch the cutscenes between Odin and Atreus. Look at how fatherly and open he was with him and how coldly Odin dismisses his children like they were nothing to him. If anything this tells me that Odin has the ability to be a good or at the very least a decent father to his children. He just chooses not to.
I disagree odin wasn't being fatherly to Atreus he was being manipulative everything odin does and how he interacts with everyone is pure manipulation. For odin to choose to be good would have to mean he has self awareness. But Odin is a narcissist he views nothing he does as being wrong.
Fake Logan fans when I start talking about his hypocrisy 🦗
Like sorry but I think it's INTERESTING that Logan's perception of himself is very deeply tied up in this (extremely orientalist) idea of honor, but when it comes down to it, when he's put in a corner, he will abandon his ethics and morals and honor and lash out extremely violently.
