College Advice
1. Just because you took 7 classes in high school doesnāt mean you can manage 7 classes in college. 2. Just because you woke up at 6am everyday in high school doesnāt mean you can wake up at 6am everyday in college. 3. Just because you got straight Aās in high school doesnāt mean youāll necessarily get straight Aās in college (and thatās okay). 4. Just because your teachers in high school said they were preparing you for college doesnāt mean youāre actually prepared for college.
5. If your advisor says itās too much, itās too much.
6. If Health Services says to take a day off, take a day off.
Me to myself: wow your music taste is so good
My husband and I are surprising our 6 year old by taking him to Disney for his b-day tomorrow. Weāve been in the car for 4+ hours and he still thinks we are on our way home from school. He keeps saying ālooks like weāre almost home!ā š
Bless his heart.
Update: we arrived to Disney World, he thinks we took a wrong turn and is very concerned about who is going to feed our cat.
OMG SPOTIFY IS CLEVER AFĀ š
This curve is next level Iām screaming.
āā¦I forget about you long enough, to forget why I needed to.ā

HELLO ALL!!! FALL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER AND YOUāLL GET TO WEAR JEANS AND LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS AND SWEATERS!!! YOU WONT GET ALL HOT JUST WALKING OUTSIDE FOR 3 minUTES!! THE LEAVES WILL BE CHANGING AND COFFEE WILL BE APPROPRIATE AT 10AM AND 10PM!! THERE WILL BE BETTER DAYS AHEAD. Iām exited for us!
if you see someone being interrupted in a conversation, acknowledge them, donāt let them be pushed to the side. if you see someone lagging behind, walk beside them. if someone is being ignored, take the step to include them. always remind people of their worth. it hurts when it feels like youāre being forgotten. that small gesture can mean a lot.
So sweet
I donāt know if youāve actually seen this episode, but Pam invites the entire office to her art show that sheās been gearing up for for a really long time. Nobody shows up except for Oscar and his partner (and they critique her work, calling herĀ ālacking in courageā among other things, not realizing she is standing right behind them) and then Michael. And Michael is the only one who tells her she is great just for putting herself out there, and the only one who places value on what sheās done, and he points out all the little details she got right and notices absolutely every bit of hard work she put into it. And then treats Pam like the artist she is by not just paying her for her art, but displaying it where literally everyone can see it.
Itās one of my favorite episodes.
Itās ok to be where I am. I donāt have to wake up tomorrow and be a pro. And I think that mentality has gone a long way for me in terms of just surrendering. To the moment, surrendering to where I am, and surrendering even in my failures.
