Percy Jackson Characters and Their Favourite Musicals - Part 1

Percy - Mamma Mia

He and Sally used to rent it and they've lost count how many times they watched it. It was a getaway from the world and Gabe. They still watch it when they get together. (They still cry during Slipping Through My Fingers). He also randomly bursts into ABBA songs which amuses Annabeth.

Annabeth - Hamilton

She is the embodiment of a Hamilton phase. Can rap Guns and Ships. Listens to it while studying so she doesn't get bored. She corrects everyone who acts like the chatacters were the same in real life. Probably punched a Jefferson apologizer.

Jason - Les Miserables

He's Roman so of course he likes it. Played Do You Hear the People Sing while hyping up everyone. Real life Marius. (But insists he is a Enjolras) Really conflicted on if Javert was at fault and gets in a argument with Percy about it all the time.

Piper - Phantom of the Opera/Legally Blonde

Went to Phantom with her dad when she was little and liked it ever since. Can sing Christine's parts. One day out of a sudden Aphrodite took her on a trip to see Legally Blonde live. (The current Elle was a daughter of hers) When she got back the Aphrodite Cabin staged their own production with help from the Apollo Cabin.

Frank - Cats

The only one who likes it. Nobody knows why. When they ask him he says it's just funny. Hazel once caught him changing into different cats every time another one was on the screen while watching it alone.

So the plot and songs are the same except

Paulette introduces everyone to the tune of Find My Way

Paulette sings Bend and Snap so Elle can impress Emmett when they meet for the first time but it doesn't work

So Elle sings What You Want

Emmett convinces Elle to work on her song by singing Chip on My Shoulder

Vivienne sings Ireland after coming back to Hadestown

There is a Blood in the Water and Why Do We Build the Wall mash-up

Warner sings So Much Better about the new and industrialized Hadestown

Emmett sings a reprise of So Much Better when he finds out what kind of place Hadestown really is

Emmett tries to give the workers hope by singing Omigod You Guys

Vivienne sings Take It Like a Man to Warner to convince him to give Elle a chance

Warner sings Serious to Elle but at the end reveals that she can't look at Emmett on the way back

The way back starts with Legally Blonde(Remix) but with time it changes to the heart wrenching version

Seeing all the Broadway actors posting the snow in NYC makes me feel like... Damn, I wish I was a snow flake in New York. At least I'd be in New York .

So today has really come. Two musicals that hold a great place in my heart close today.

Thank you Waitress for being there when I needed something calm, emotional or joyful. Thank you all the Jennas whose renditions of She Used to Be Mine I lip synced to countless times. Thank you A Soft Place to Land for when I needed to breathe for a second. Thank you Everything Changes for being there when I felt like everything was literally changing. Thank you Sara Bareilles and every other writer and composer who helped this musical exist in the first place. Thank you all of the cast members who brought these characters to life on stage for 4 years.

Thank you The Lightning Thief for introducing me to the world of musical theatre. Thank you for all the days I singed Put You in Your Place when I felt like it. Also sorry for using a youtube converter to download the cast recording to my mp3 player. Thank you for all the times I listened to the cast recording on my way back from school. Thank you to all the cast for bringing some of my favourite fictional characters to life. Thank you for helping us half bloods forget the mov*e that shall not be named.
