Solfrid Leirvik: Through a lost love's eyes

I got a random burst of inspiration at 1am, so have a Gpose series about Solfrid (and Sunna) through another's eyes.

Inspired by the concept that if I perfect my Alphinaud and Alisaie Young Adult models, SE will finally give us the canon version in 8.0

I did my best to keep their looks as similar and in line with their canon choices while also allowing myself a bit of indulgence!

While not canon to the Amaris-Verse version of Dawntrail, I wanted to give them both outfits that were a little less warm than canon so they could enjoy Tural if I ever end up deciding to adjust their models by that point in the game.

Overall, I’m actually really proud of how these looks came out and hope that one day, they are completely obsolete 🤩

okay so you know how ffxiv has the time bubble thingy? and you know how most people just make up their own timeline for how long the game took place over so far? Pls share YOUR 🫵 personal timeline….because i’m trying to make my own but i honestly for the life of me cannot think of what would be a reasonable time for an expansion to take place over lmao

For me it does depend on what side content the character did. As my Main, Thumpurr has done all the side content and would say it’s been about 6 years from ARR to current patch. Basically a year per expansion (base SHB and base EW took less but were balanced out by all the ocean travel in StB and the post patches with the Bozjan Resistance and recovery time after EW).

When I first started playing Azami, she had been through a rough childhood with a judgmental mother and the pain of watching each of her family members and mentors being conscripted into the Garlean military. She had endured 9 months as a fugitive on 3 different ships to reach Eorzea, nearly starving to death on the first ship as a stowaway.

Her job choices were tied to her magical aptitude (Summoner/Scholar), desire to become physically stronger and able to protect others (Paladin), and heritage (Samurai). She tended to be analytical, serious, and socially awkward.

But over time, she made friends, grew powerful, and her self esteem grew.

I never thought she would want a job like dancer, but by the time she reached the Endwalker role quests, she had both the motivation and the confidence to do it (ability was never an issue).

Just goes to show that even when you think you know the character you’ve created, they can still surprise you.

OMG I'm bad at Tumblr so apologies in advance but I read all of Educating Azami on AO3 and I was ENTHRALLED, I didn't notice it wasn't finished at first and was so devastated in having to wait for the ending lol, though it's an amazing fic, and I ADORE how you write both the scions and their speech patterns, here's hoping for more soon 🫶🫶
