my ball python is trying to bury/tunnel in moss that i added to her tank (and substrate). Is that normal for ball pythons or is it something to be concerned about?
The only reason they don't burrow in nature is the ground is too packed and cause they usually just take over their preys burrows.

So other than the massive swelling ball pythons do during ovulation, you can also tell by lifting their tail and looking for what’s called ‘tail suck’. Which is when the belly scales get sucked in, like in this photo :)
