Then once they have learned how to make a movie that the audience can see, they will have to make fully produced (music, sound effects, etc) audio dramas so they can learn to make something that the audience can hear what people are saying and how to do audio mixing properly.

it IS racism when shane's skill at hockey is only ever referred to as his hockey IQ. the fact that all of his plays are constantly stated to be calculation and nothing else - not sheer skill, instinct, etc - IS racism. and the fact that shane is always being described as mild-mannered, non-aggressive, etc. while on the ice, despite the fact that he's A PROFESSIONAL HOCKEY PLAYER, and a genuinely intrinsic portion of the game is BEING AGGRESSIVE, to the point where shane would not have made it to the level he's at without BEING A VERY AGGRESSIVE PLAYER, is also RACISM.

Here are the spicy scenes that I literally cannot stop thinking about:

Their second hookup in episode 1. The desperation in the way that Shane absolutely launches himself at Ilya. The way they both want each other so badly after knowing how good it was the first time and not knowing if it'll happen again. Ilya PICKING SHANE UP. Ilya sensing Shane's fear IMMEDIATELY and responding.

The first time they have intercourse in episode 2. I have never seen sex portrayed on screen like that (the music, the consent, the protection, the care, SHANE'S FACE). Also the most beautiful song. I cry everytime I watch this scene.

The Vegas scene in episode 2. The chair drag. The way that the power dynamic shifts midway through. Ilya's GULP. "Are you gonna fuck me?" The whole "I need you" exchange. The CRAWL.

The sex scene in episode 6. ILYA'S FACE. That's it. It makes the scene absolutely gorgeous.

There is so much to be said about the way hudson williams is handling this press tour that i don’t even know where to start, but. something incredibly groundbreaking and significant in the way he sits through those interviews with, more often than not, famous straight white men, and is not for a single second bashful or embarrassed or cowed by them. if they reference the sex scenes, he will speak of them with pride: yes he was on all fours, yes he was naked, yes he can’t wait to get bent over in season 2. the unapologetic way in which he walks into those studios and charms the pants off every person he meets and doesn’t give an inch of a ground feels revolutionary to me. he sits there and humbles everyone by being funnier than they could ever hope to be with the cleanest skin they’ve ever seen while somehow having a correct take on every single issue they ask him about. i am just completely floored and i think it’s so important, the pride he is taking in his role and the way he speaks about connor too, with so much care and love that he doesn’t give a fuck about people seeing. he’s completely rewriting the game and his blunt unapologetic charm while doing that is so refreshing

Hudson Williams being so openly protective of Shane’s autistic mannerisms and communication style and people STILL dissing those exact things as a way to call him a bad actor is so appalling to me.

Shane Hollander is a character I resonate with so much and I have such intense love and affection for his conversation style and behaviour. I keep rewatching the show because I rarely feel so related to a character, and I LOVE that Ilya not only accepts Shane but also just loves him for it too.

‘That’s French, Ilya’, being unable to hold eye contact (even when his mum begs him), crying but not letting the tears fall so it doesn’t count, his playfulness coming out in episode 6, ‘I tried really hard but I can’t help it’ (this one’s about his sexuality but wow that moment was so relatable to me), having a comfort drink, finding it difficult to identify and express his emotions (‘Just don’t marry Svetlana, okay? Just don’t.’ He says with tears in his eyes and voice catching in his throat - AMAZING performance), and also the minute expression changes when Shane watches Ilya win the cup while they haven’t talked for months (incredible).

I don’t want to hear or see people dissing Hudson’s acting. We’ve all seen his interviews; he’s expressive and dynamic in his conversation style. He has also described Shane in interviews as being more rigid and tight lipped, thus his whole performance as him is ACTING. The rigidity, the conveying of his emotions being less obvious (unless events are on the higher end of the uncomfortable spectrum and he just straight up starts crying because he doesn’t know how to express himself. #relatable), and his straightforward dialogue are all characteristics of Shane; if you don’t like him as a viewer that does not make the acting bad.

Idk how people don’t like him though, he’s earnest, kind, and tries to be so understanding of others. He’s also so fun to watch !!!! I’m sorry but :

Ilya: *arriving at Shane’s apartment in Montreal for the first time and seeing Shane* You are about to murder me?

Shane: Maybe! Get in!

Basically Shane is my fave character and I would like everyone, even if they don’t love and adore him, to extend empathy towards him and his mannerisms, and to not use their dislike for the character to shit on Hudson; he did an incredible job and I’m so enthralled with his performance that I keep rewatching it lol

My favorite thing about the cottage is that Shane and Ilya became exclusive, planned to spend two weeks together, came up with a plan to literally be together forever... THEN said I love you... THEN decided they were boyfriends. The most backwards relationship to ever do it I would die for both of them
