I mean, I sort of went to sleep a handful of months ago and.. Only just woke up. Just a casual coma, not a big deal.. I should probably get to the bottom of… That. Remind me to do some research on random, long-term comas?

I… Oh. Well.. Are you okay now? No serious injuries or diseases? Just a couple of weeks of being high and traveling the Southeast Asia. I like that. I wish I could have been awake to go with you.

Okay so yeah that doesn't sound good at all it sounds like maybe a hibernation sort of thing but that's not normal for humans. Are you part grizzly bear or insect by any chance? 

I don't think so, but... I have some new tattoos and they weren't done y my regulars so... possibly chance of infection there 

I guess more like a few months? or a lot of months. And not just Aisia like islands and Australia and shit too. I do't remember a whole lot but my passport has a fuckton of stamps on it

I keep thinking about coming back on here, because I miss playing Newt and I miss his relationships (Crane, Nora, Baby and of course JOHN like crazy) but.... 

1- I associate tumblr rp very much with my ex and that hurts and urgh

2 - those people above don't seem to have been active, so I'm not sure how.. who to interact with 

3 - it's hard to find my Newt muse 

4 - my offline life is busier and being offline is better for my mental health (see: ex mentioned in point 1) 

So. I want to play, but these things get in the way. I miss the community and I miss Newt but... I'm not there yet. I hope to be, sometime soon. I would like to come on here and see something that sparks me but... it's tough. 

I love you all. Thank you for continuing to follow me even though I'm slack and awful for RPing at the moment.

With only a mild dash of trepidation (and a heavy splash of excitement), the physicist stepped into Newton’s room. He looked back at Newt, admiring the view for a moment before his eye was naturally drawn to the rest of the room. It was a bit neater than he had expected, though he had a feeling the biologist may have straightened up a bit.

For some reason that thought warmed his chest a little.

Then his eyes fell upon the collar and his breath hitched. Suddenly the warmth leaked until it was across every inch of skin. Hermann rubbed his throat lightly, trying to rid himself of the ghost sensation of a collar.

"You seem prepared." He states, trying to say something.

Newt watched Hermann, trying to get a gauge on his mood from his body language, which was - as ever - stiff and formal. He couldn't help but see the hand moving to his throat and that led to a wide, predatory smile appearing on his face. 

"Honey, this isn't my first time at the rodeo," he said, chuckling a little to himself.  "We need some guidelines though. You need to pick a safeword, which you can use at any time, no shame, and I'll stop straight away." He picked up the collar and toyed with it, sure that Hermann would be watching, but he was determined to do this right.

What do I call this, A Very Newmann Christmas? Whatever it is, that’s some very earnest mockery by Newt, there, hehe :P And man, is Hermann ever unhappy about that elf costume, but he’s nothing if not a man of his word — and he did lose the bet fair and square, after all. 

So, uh, merry Christmas and happy holidays to my fellow Newt and Hermann fans, I guess XD Hehe! I love you all.

This scene interests me on a lot of levels. (The most superficial being that I love seeing men terrified and crawling on the ground, so, win there)

But this scene is funny to me because Newt does the classic thing that people (mostly women) do in horror movies, where they break a heel or fall over or something when running from a monster, and instead of getting back up and sprinting, they do this. I think it’s always a ridiculous trope, because survival instincts take over in a situation like this and really you’d get up and sprint. But what if there’s a reason for it here?

In the novelization, it’s explicit when Newt meets Otachi that he’s still ghost-drifting with her, still partially thinking with/for/like her. What if the same thing is going on here? What if the reason he doesn’t even appear to trip so much as throw himself down onto the ground and then crawl around like this is because that’s how Baby Otachi moves? You’ll notice in that first gif that Newt goes down at exactly the same time as Baby Otachi does, and then his crawling on all fours closely echoes what the kaiju is doing behind him.

When he turns over in the final gif, it’s like an assertion of some part of him through the foreign impulses in his brain—he may be down and crawling like the monster, but he’s at least going to look at it and see that it’s not him.
