Time to be weird and scary with big bro!
man this secret identity thing is difficult
Changed my banner because I'm QUEER and i miss CHERIK and i think I'm going INSANE and oh my god i miss them so bad
Been wanting to draw the Batfam for a while but wanna make sure to give them all different features since their designs are so similar so here's a bunch of eyes
Cold take "Bucky talks in Russian because he's used to it after his years in Hydra."
Hot take "Bucky hates talking in Russian because it triggers him, especially because the controlling words are random ones that can easily be said in normal conversations, it makes him feel too close to the Winter soldier."
Even hotter take "Bucky hates talking in Russian because it triggers him and makes him feel too close to the Winter Soldier, especially because the controlling words are random ones that can easily be said in normal conversations, but sometimes his brain just switches to Russian, he speaks in Russian as if it's his first language and he doesn't even realize he's speaking in Russian until someone (most of the time, Yelena) points it out and he almost always has a hard moment realizing part of his brain is still the Winter Soldier."
I'm Jason Todd pilled again. Yes it's me, the guy nobody invited that also vanishes every now and then.
Kind of Auish? Idk man the canon is complicated.....
I've been thinking about how he died so young and how when he came back, he was already eighteen but with barely any memories that made sense. But think a little further i got into a loop of thought that he never will be able to actually move on from that because even if he forgives everyone and ignores Joker, he won't ever be able to be a civilian again and that is basically being human.
When any other hero gets traumatized they hide into their civilian identity, Jason doesn't have one because Jason Todd is and will always be dead. He can't get a job because he's dead. He can't be a public figure because he's dead. And even if he used a fake name he would never be seen as a normal civilian because of his looks.
His terrifying green eyes (even worse if we consider the 'his eyes changes of shade with his emotions' thing), his white hair that could be normal if it wasn't with the whole package, the giant J on his face that screams Joker to anyone who knows the man, the countless scars all over him including the big on on his neck. There's also the fact that even though he's still young, he's BIG and really strong, which could be almost scary for some people.
That, without mentioning the fact that he never graduated anything because again, he died young.
Without Red Hood he doesn't have anything and that must reallyyyy suck for him because while all his siblings are living their civilian lives normally he can't even go to the market without being stared at by everyone, and not the "Oh my god is that a Wayne?" Stare that his siblings get, but the "My god what happened to him?" And "That looks really bad" looks.
Anyway I'm sleep deprived and i just wrote a research for the semester and I can't think straight so take whatever this is...
Alright it’s free period now
OK BUT THIS GETS WORSE AFTER THE BATMAN MINDBOMB ISSUES
I don’t know if Jason ever gets out of that situation because I haven’t read anything past Mindbomb if anyone knows if they cure him pleaseee let me know
But like the whole Mindbomb thing is like! Batman gave him the drug to ensure he can live a normal life and he can’t! Because he’s not supposed to be alive and he can’t BE alive because he’s Red Hood and he’s nothing without Red Hood
he’ll be going through life completely filled with fear and constantly being reminded of what happened to him and that’s the worst thing that could ever happen to him
The identity of Red Hood is arguably a coping method and without it he can’t go on
OHHHH THE MINDBOMB THING UGHH
yes yes absolutely, no matter what his family do or say he'll always be a dead man walking with nothing but a Red Hood and the fact that they try to change it makes everything way worse
All of the batfam are comfortable and like the cave, except Bruce, who is still terrified of bats and cannot exist in the same room as them
He has not let any of the other know this, he just hopes the bats don’t get too close to him
All of the kids think he loves bats since he named himself and everything else in the cave after them (even though that bit was dick) so they keep trying to get him to pet/play with the bats
Bruce is still not strong enough to tell them he hates them
__
Damian(cradling a baby bat): father look
Bruce(sweating): oh wow cool, yep wow
Damian: do you want to hold him?
Bruce(stepping back): no, no thank you, you look so happy with him I wouldn’t want to take him
Damian(Solemnly): thank you for your sacrifice father (cuddles the bat)
__
Done!

Newly adopted Dick Grayson, not so innocently: Bruce, why don't you have a wife?
Bruce: I'm gay.
Dick, knowing exactly what it is: And what is that?
Bruce: I like men, not women.
Dick, grinning as bright as the sun, knows Clark is listening to this conversation from somewhere: So Clark is your husband?
Bruce:... I think Alfred is calling me.
thats a funny looking balloon u have there.....
They don’t know I’m listening to Bamm from the first Z-O-M-B-I-E-S movie
I'm sorry i NEED to put this out of my chest.
I was thinking about Soukoku and Shin Soukoku parallels and honestly there's so many and yet they're so different sometimes.
Their first meetings were basically just the same, one of them appears out of nowhere to kill the other, of course Chuuya was way lighter about that than Aku was but whatever... The two duos keep that hatred between them but still need to work together all the time and need to trust each other over and over even when their lives are in danger. That - wanting or not - makes them work better together than with anyone else, and that also makes them closer, even though they wouldn't admit it.
Also thinking about how both Dazai and Akutagawa hated Chuuya and Atsushi but in the end they ended up being their reason to live. Dazai's first reason to live was Chuuya, the way he decided to "give it a shot" just because of the boy, and also the way we never saw Dazai try suicide when he's with Chuuya, maybe I'm just forgetting something but still. And Akutagawa's reason was Dazai's approval since he was a kid, and yet when Atsushi is in danger he sacrificed himself, knowing he would never get that approval, and when he came back and Atsushi sacrificed himself for Aku, saying the same words Aku said and bringing back his memories, Akutagawa was close to dying and yet wasn't thinking about Dazai, but Atsushi, saying that Atsushi was his ordeal, and wanting him back because thats his real reason for living.
Chuuya and Atsushi also acts similar sometimes, about how they also seem to hate their partner but would die with/for him if necessary. Chuuya keeps putting his life in danger for Dazai over and over, not even caring about the possibility of dying, because he trusts Dazai and if he dies at least is with that idiot, no? In Dead Apple he basically jumps off directly towards death, with everyone telling him he's going to die, just because he knew Dazai had a plan, he trusts Dazai blindly and wouldn't care to sacrifice himself for the man. Atsushi does the same sometimes, working with Akutagawa and doing his plans even though he's not supposed to trust the boy, when Akutagawa dies for him his first reaction is to run towards him, to save him even when Aku told him to go, and when Akutagawa came back as a vampire he kept trying to talk to him instead of fighting, putting himself in danger just to bring the boy's memories, and when he sees Akutagawa in danger again in the future he doesn't mind jumping in front of it and dying for the boy, he didn't know he had a chance to come back, he just wanted to make sure the other boy would be safe. And if I'm not mistaken he cuts the space time or something like that to save Akutagawa again.
Anyways i love them all and even when i do think they have similarities i still think they're very different from each other. Maybe that's their charm.
superbat week 2025 day 2: fake/pretend relationship (continuation of this piece from superbat week last year!!)
I mentioned the Rosier twins just now and honestly i NEED to talk about them bc i have this hc that they're just like these uncanny scary as fuck twins in terror movies that everyone thinks is a imagination of their mind.
They're scarily alike and look exactly the same and at the same time don't look like each other AT ALL.
Evan is more closed and when you get closer to him he's more gentle and his style is unique in a way that looks normal enough but still gets people attention.
Pandora is very extroverted and talk to anyone who wants to talk to her, but when you get closer to her she's batshit crazy, her style is clearly insanely messy but still classy and somehow she manages to looks crazy but cute at the same time.
However when you put both of them side by side they're a perfect copy, if you ignore some features and their hair it's terrifying alike, the only thing that's different between them it's their hair - since Panda's longer - and the gender (even though they could pass by another gender if they really wanted to) even their fucking moles and scars are in the same places and similar sizes.
Regulus, Barty and Dorcas once made them change clothes and laughed for almost a hour because it looked like they just changed their hairs.
I was out today and i saw a red house next to a green one and i immediately realized how obsessed i am with two dead characters who doesn't even talk to each other in canon and then i started to think of how insane this fandom is because HOW DID IT EVEN GET THIS FAR?
I can understand how James, Sirius, Remus and Peter (and Lily too) got famous because they're mentioned all the time or even appeared in the books/movies, BUT ALL THE REST? insane.
How someone looked at that image of Regulus Black in the movie and said "that's a beautiful gay man" or how did we even got into the 'Rosier Twins' because i was there when it happened but i really don't know how...
And I'm not saying this as a bad thing, honestly this fandom is one of my because of it, ANYTHING you say can be canon for you because nothing here is exactly canon and it's so fun to see different views of the same thing. I like it here so much, even though I'm not a big fan of the actual Harry Potter history or the golden trio fandom i feel so safe here it's like a big amount of crazy people saying their craziness together.
