New Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac) TV anime series coming to Netflix

Okay, so I fact-checked and this seems to be legit!   Here’s an article that confirms it, among other things.   And here’s an article just about the new Saint Seiya!

Apparently it’s going to be a “twelve-episode reimagining” of the original Saint Seiya series!   It will be CG animated.   Release date has yet to be set as anything other than simply “soon”.

I’m inclined to hope considering that Netflix usually puts out good content, but the length seems a little short for a revival of the series.  

Anyway, what does everyone think about that?  :)  Are you excited?  Disappointed?   Wondering where the heck the Saintia Sho anime that was announced is?  Discuss.

Nooo..NOOOOOO Stop it T_T !!! Netflix why you doing this!! Why do people keep trying to kill my babies good animes with remakes!! In CG animations on thop of that! Besides it’s a twelve episodes serie you know what that means! It means it’s gonna be about that arc where they climb stairs and fight gold saints for 12hours! AGAIN!!!! We suffered enough with the Legend of the Sanctuary movie! please someone make them stop I’m begging you T_T..

Okay, but the Canadian in me is so so so so excited for this.

You guys do realize this anime hardly exists in North America north of Mexico, right? If they do a decent job (and it’s Netflix, sure they flub sometimes, but they’re usually pretty good with their products), this could actually make the anime popular over here!!!

Also, 12 episodes to deal with the everything up to the Silver Saints arc? Sounds pretty reasonable, and with the definite possibility of a second season if it all goes well.

I mean, sure it won’t be perfect, but neither is the classic anime, so I’m gonna be sitting here riding the hype train all day!

As someone who grew up on the abysmal original dub, the chance for me to throw my support behind my all time favorite series is seriously exciting. Not to mention the fact that it means I can now pull more people into this series with this.

Besides anything is better than bleeding Gatorade.

I am so ready. Netflix has a good record on them with reboots and original versions and creations. CDZ SS is my childhood so this really brings me up and knowing Saintia Sho is also lurking around. 💖 Now if Toei can finish Lost Canvas.
