Sorry for disappearing for like a year lol. Kinda forgor this blog existed.
I made a thing in the last few days and suddenly rembered I have the perfect place to post it.
It's yet another system info fetching utility, except it allows for much more flexible layout options, rather than just line-by-line printouts with a logo on the left.
Here's what it can do:

My first config for @kali-official's layfetch! I had a lot of fun fiddling around with it. My setup is very similar to the default config at the moment, but I expect that to change as I get more comfortable with the json format.
For posterity, my dotfiles are in this repo. The biggest changes are the new logo (i <3< void), flag palette splitting (extensible to however many flags), and message of the day randomizing based on an included file. I also remade the estrogen day counter, which is strangely absent from the default layout.json.
I really like this tool! The tiling just looks so nice. I can't believe nobody'd done this before. I'll probably mess around with this a little more in the near future; I want to try making my own layout fully from scratch.

Shout out to UnitedHealth for massively expanding into the Brazilian healthcare system! The company is ontologically evil and people are going to suffer as a result.
UHG isn't the only usamerican health conglomerate to try and get a foot in the Brazilian market, I cannot overstate: however bad it is now, it will somehow be worse once you have UHG or Cigna or CVS running things. The corporate cultures there encourage the kind of dead-eyed sadists who don't need to be told that whatever targets their bosses want them to reach this quarter are the most important thing in the world to rise to the top. If Satan is real she's in middle management at Optum somewhere.
There's larger structural issues at play too but the ontologically evil USAmerican extracting-profit-by-maximizing-human-suffering industry getting directly involved in the Brazilian healthcare system is going to make life worse for everyone in Brasil, even if they never cross paths with a UHG owned clinic.
What is to be done, then? If only someone had written something about this. If only.

So it seems like there are two possibilities:
One possibility is that the person who did the shooting changed his jacket right before the shooting- but into a different jacket that was remarkably similar (a puzzling choice!), then executed a plan so well thought out that the police had pretty much no leads, but was then caught (with both the murder weapon and a manifesto conveniently on his person!) at a small town McDonalds five days later thanks to a random person recognizing him (and is a random McDonald's employee thinking you appear similar to a partial photo of a criminal enough to get you detained?)
OR
A police force with a budget bigger than many country's entire military, in a country notorious for having corrupt policemen who routinely lie and believe themselves to be above the law, realizing that it would be supremely embarrassing to have no leads, and likely facing immense political pressure to make sure the public doesn't think people can get away with this kind of crime, feeling motivated to peruse the many many records available to their giant counter-terrorism unit and using it to find someone who was in the vicinity, with an established online record of extremism, who has a jacket that is reasonably similar, and straight up planting some evidence on him so they can wrap this up with a neat bow and all of the ceo's who run the politicians who run our country can breathe easier?
As a random person on the Internet I will never find out the truth but some of this is not really passing the sniff test, and if there is one thing you can count on in this country it's that cops lie and cover their own asses. If he mysteriously dies in prison from "suicide" then we will know it's definitely not him
